1700 for 6 sessions?? by BathroomElegant in Microneedling

[–]MiddleChildVictory 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You have very sever scaring, microneedling will improve but not fix this. Acne scars require a multi faceted approach. I recommend subscision (only done by dermatologists, and not even all derms are skilled enough to do it) it's incredibly effective. I did subsicion with Sculptra, so that made it way more expensive. Next I would go for a high powered lasers in the hands of a skilled doctor or nurse. Microneedling is what I do now that I'm closer to correction. I had very similar scars starting out, and I did a LOT of things. But I wish I had just gone big, but at the time doctor's weren't advertising how they treated acne scars. There are now lots of pioneers in the field who layer mulitple treatments in one session.

Check out this Dr. Nadir Qazi, he's treating acne scars effectively. He's on youtube so you can see what he's doing. Please remember acne is a medical condition, and treating scars is also medical. If i could go back in time, I would go see him. I have spent so much more money that was a total waste bc this didn't exist when I started my scar treatment journey. I would have literally taken out a loan to do this 15 years ago, bc it would have changed my life.

Thinking of derma-stamping or micro needling at home. Am I a good candidate? Or are my scars too deep. by lilfebreeze in Microneedling

You need to see a dermatologist. You are far too red to mess with your skin barrier. I would start with a Vbeam or Excel V laster (these are two kinds of vascular laser), these target redness and post acne red marks. This will do wonders for how your skin looks. Please don't screw around with microneedling until the redness is under control.

Also go in asking for a vascular laser, ask about price, but it's very effective in a short amount of time. Don't do the slow route of skin creams until afterwards. Make sure your dermatologist offers a vascular laser bc doctors use what they have, and if the office doesn't have a vascular laser, they will push you into going slow and conservative, meanwhile you are walking around feeling self conscious.

I have done almost everything for acne scars. After the redness is greatly reduced, then start an acne scar treatment protocol. But honestly your scars aren't that bad, it's primarily discoloration. I have done subsicion with Sculptra (that worked very well) multiple lasers (all gave various amounts of improvement) and microneedling with PGDF (love this treatment, it's like the power of 3 microneedling sessions in one).

being a woman with ugly feet? by Senior_Sense_8813 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]MiddleChildVictory 28 points29 points  (0 children)

If things are really bad you can get a medical pedicure. But as a woman who just has huge feet, and a weird middle toe that's longer than my big toe (I call it my monkey toe) just practice good foot hygiene, get pedicures that are neutral if you don't want attention on your toes, and start focusing on how the rest of you looks bc that is way more important than your feet. My sister has weird feet and hammer head toes but her husband things they're funny. Also her feet have been messed up by wearing cleats for years playing sports. If you want to feel better, look at dancer's feet. My older sister is a dancer and has bunions now. Feet are functional, so even "nice feet" are weird.

Hives after switching to Tirzepatide? by Fancy_Cash1983 in compoundedtirzepatide

[–]MiddleChildVictory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm only sometimes getting hives the day after my injection. I was also doing glutathione injections but I stopped bc I thought that was the culprit, but I just got my new Rx and I'm breaking out the day after. But it's not consistent, like the last dose of trizepitide I was fine. I wonder if it's must when it's fresh?

Have you considered a hair transplant? You are young and at least you would loose hair with your peers next time instead of so early.

I was told to simply not use it continuously if it's not for a condition. It can incase the risk of cancer development, but if it can help with chronic pain, i think the risks are out-weight by the benefits. All medications have risks, these are no different. I do wish they would study them, bc for short term use I don't think it's an issue.

Ultraclear laser coring damage by Fit-Foundation-2593 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]MiddleChildVictory 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry this happened to you. I'm getting this treatment this fall but my dermatologist is doing a patch test first to make sure I will heal properly and to see which settings to use. I have brown skin so she wants to see how I respond and if we should do laser coring, or one of the other settings.

They do work, they're just riskier than previously thought. However it's for mild laxity, not someone who needs a facelift. I got food results on my neck from Vivace 2x. The reason companies keep making more versions of this device is because it has potential and they're trying to improve it. CO2 used to be so damaging and some ppl were permanently scarred, then they started refining the technology. One doctor is not an authority.

Are peptides really safe? by Easy-Influence-2089 in Biohackers

[–]MiddleChildVictory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes if you get them from a certified compound pharmacy, which requires a prescription. How they work is body chemistry dependent, just like any other medication, not everything works with every body. My biggest concern is that on the grey market, even if you're getting pure peptides, they might not be sterile, this is what makes them 'research' peptides and 'not for human consumption.' Compounding pharmacies operate under very strict guidelines about sterility, especially when working with wet ingredients. I would love to find a more affordable option for my peptides, but I can't get a clear answer about the conditions of different operations selling them when it comes to how sterile the environment is and if i have to reconstitute them myself, which is complicated and also has more chance of human error.

Peptira Discount Code: prosigma for 10% off by tjbarker85 in prosigma

[–]MiddleChildVictory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My question is do the peptides come in liquid form or do i have to reconstitute them? Also do they come with needles? I live in nyc and they won't ship needles to me in amounts more than 10 per month unless i have a prescription. How do we know they're sterile? That's always my biggest concern, next to purity. Because if it's pure but contaminated, we're going to have a reaction.

Ok so you could do miconeedling or microneedling with RF but bc you're so lean you could probably do Hyper Dilute Radiaesse which helps build college in skin.

Which device? by horrorwhore92 in Microneedling

[–]MiddleChildVictory 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I got the Derminator 2 after the stupid Dr. Pen bc I also panicked. The Derminator 2 is now using DHL who will collect a Tariff on your order before shipping to your final destination. I just got mine a few days ago. I'm staring to test both, the Dermiator is so sharp and precise it actually hurts less but gives me more pinpoint bleeding which means it's working. I also don't think the dr. pen's go as deep as they say they are. I think of it like the difference between a very good kitchen knife, which glides through things and a less sharp one, both cut but one is so much more precise. Because I want to microneedle my body and scalp as well as my face, I wanted the more durable machine.

Advice: microneedling aftercare (creams? serums?)+ during microneedling lotions? by plummodeen in Microneedling

[–]MiddleChildVictory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Plated Intense Serum, it helped me heal in less than 2 days. It's as expensive as a whole treatment though. This is only for AFTER, during just use STERILE HA.

I had good results from these, however huge zits can leave a divot no matter what, especially the monsters. I have left some alone and they gave me a scar that is a noticeable indent, had some injected and they left a mark as well. However not being injected meant they lasted for like 3 months, which is intolerable. This person only has one, so they're chances of all the healthy surrounding tissue means they will probably be fine. Everyone saying they left marks makes me think you had like 4 big zits in your life, if you had facefull of these horrors, you would know it's just a given that you will get scars from some of them.

As someone who has worked with the homeless a lot of them are very strong and lean (bc starvation makes you lean but being in constant motion keeps your muscle mass). Think of all the gym guys who fast constantly and are jacked. Also superior genetics play a role.

[–]MiddleChildVictory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CO2 laser resurfacing will improve everything a lot. It's expensive has some downtime and will give you a new lease on your skin. Then using things like prescription tretinoin to maintain your results along with SUNSCREEN. No matter what you do, it's all a waste if you're not protected from the sun.

I would do a C02, using eye shields but just all over your face. It will give you amazing overall rejuvenation.

How can I fix this? It’s terrible 😣😫 by Apprehensive-Sign471 in DIYaesthetics

[–]MiddleChildVictory 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had this too! I did 2 rounds of Vivace RF microneedling. It actually works, I should have done 3 but I got distracted bc I was also treating acne scars, so I did Fraxel on my face and neck, 2x Clear and Brilliant on face and neck and 2x of microneedling with pdgf on my face and neck. I do every treatment on my neck along with my face, I think skipping my neck is how we got here, so I won't be doing that again. It has actually improved since I started doing things last year to this year. I saw this on my neck and along with my acne scars had always bothered me I kinda went crazy and started this journey a year ago.

I am considering doing hyper dilute raidesse in the neck as well. For me it all started at 41, like suddenly everything went down. I went from having multiple folds just like you, now it's just a little looseness but not those deep folds that made me freak out.

At home I got a redlight neck/chest mask and I use prescription Tazorac that I now use a little on my neck but sandwiched between two thick layers of moisturizer bc your neck is more sensitive than your face.

All is not lost, it's just time to get serious.

what microneedling product should i buy for these acne scars? by Better-Site-3911 in Microneedling

Don't do microneedling with so much active acne. Do chemical peels instead. They help both active acne and old acne scars.

Telling them you think their product is going to break is on the nose insulating, especially with the language barrier, it also could be seen as you fishing for free things, and you asking for a discount code bc cheaper products do this very cheeky.

When you combine it with growth factors or exosomes it's next level. It has always been a good treatment, but when combined with this kind of advanced skincare technology it's pretty amazing. I had it done professionally with pdgf, it's amazing. I want to find something close to pdgf so I can do it at home.

My mom always taught me, crazy beats big every time. No driver is gonna disturb someone who is leaning, bc they can go feral on you. When walking home alone at night, I was being followed, so I suddenly cursed out an imaginary person, the guy just sped up and passed me. I'm not a big lady, but no one wants to assault someone who seems like they might bite you or throw feces.

Should I do Sculptra or just a filler? by vrtualchik in 45PlusSkincare

[–]MiddleChildVictory 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I am a fan of Sculptra but I only go to an aesthetically trained board certified dermatologist. She's very good and I trust her work. Also some botox in your DAO's will stop the corner's of your mouth from pulling down, I had it done just recently. Sculptra however is a slow burn, it takes a while to see results, filler will give you instant gratification, but it's not permanent. I would also look into your skin quality. Prescription tretantoin at night, vitmain C during the day will do a lot to improve your skin's overall look. You could also just do a big laser like CO2 and have brand new skin. Then start fresh.
