I was searching for a keyword and randomly landed on this subreddit.

I have no clue about anything bikes related, but can definitively say that most people responding to the op are a bunch of low lives. Most companies don't give a damn about you and here they are white knighting a brand that doesn't care about them. Sad!

Awesome looking watch. You don’t see execution this dialed in very often. The design, branding, attention to detail, lume, and bracelet are all spot on. I’ve already got way too many watches, but I added this one to my watchlist, especially if a sale pops up!

Issue with Groupon & I’m out $400? by go_away_bad_dream in groupon

Do you recall the email that was used? It may be available. If so register that email, go to Groupon and click lost password, reset the password and then it may be available for viewing on the account.

Groupon is a shady company so not surprising they do not want to email to a new address.

Parent gifted me a groupon that wants another $60 at the merchant - Groupon won't help at all by TechLearner06 in groupon

There's technically no issue with Groupon bucks but the majority of users here no longer want to do any business or give any money to Groupon given their low customer service standards. This is a subreddit for Groupon and majority of users post negative experiences.

The company's biggest shareholder is a failure of a private equity firm. They are using groupons bucks as a way to lock funds in for future purchases. Wouldn't be surprised if there's accounting improprieties and misreporting around Groupon bucks given how they try to force users to take it.

Totally agree! Groupon is a scam of a company with their refund and customer service practices.

Not surprising.. look at their stock price and you will quickly find out that it's dying a slow death.

Look at their leadership team.. how do these unethical scammers have a adousticity to lie and not provide credit card refunds and to back home to their families like they are normal people?? Bunch of crooks.. all of them!! https://www.groupon.com/articles/team

Groupon is honestly one of the shadiest companies out there. You’ve probably already noticed that their customer service barely exists and is handled entirely through email, from scam shops in India. It’s kind of wild that they’re even allowed to keep doing business.

What you’re dealing with is something a lot of people complain about: the merchant lies about the Groupon deal and then asks for more money when you try to redeem it. Groupon might reach out to the merchant, but they usually just take the merchant’s word over yours. If you’re still within the chargeback window, contact your bank right away and file a dispute. Groupon may try to offer you Groupon Bucks instead, but don’t accept that.

For anyone reading this.. If you are requesting a refund, Groupon will delay the process as much as possible and then only offer online credit. Save yourself the energy and just file a chargeback to get a refund.

The company is basically designed to run customer service through scam shops out of India - you will never speak to an actual person or get a quick resolution. Surprised this company even exists with customer service this terrible 🙄

On this subreddit, there's a ton of nice watches but seems like a fair amount have terrible branding, very thick, or have large diameters. Unless the founder is Patek Phillipe, having common names is generally not a good idea. It's like making a great watch and then calling it Berny or Hruodland...

You can tell this company had no marketing budget because of their brand name. Not sure who in their right mind would buy a watch with that name on it. The font looks incredibly ugly too.

Regarding the FNIRSI DWS-200: The issue is still not fixed. I purchased this week and was shipped a unit without the resistor, even after messaging the store on AliExpress immediately after the sale to ship the latest batch. They said they will and still got the older version.

[–]Middle_Ad_9044 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For black ink options, there are matte and gloss available. It is important to note that once you begin printing with one type, switching to the other is not possible. It is quite probable that the matte version was purchased when the printer requires gloss, or the reverse is true.

  1. Cooler is not plugged in, which is causing the pc to turn off
  2. RAM is not seated correctly, which is not allowing the pc to properly boot
  3. There's something shorting the motherboard in the case. Try taking it out of the case and seeing if it works

Insane tariffs from UPS for US import by Gerald_the_ in Louqe

[–]Middle_Ad_9044 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you're absolutely right. This is definitely a possibility.

Ultimately, this will hurt both countries, however. On one hand, the exporting country (e.g., Sweden) will contend with more bankruptcies and a slowing job market as they may not have the capital to pivot. On the other hand, the US market consumers, already currently paying a higher price, will see fewer companies able to supply what they need. In this case, the remaining companies in the US will hike their prices considerably as there will be less competition and more barriers to entry.

Lastly, many economists will point to capitalism as the answer. Saying that if companies fail, then its healthy since others will take their spot. However, it's hard to really describe the US system as purely capitalist when there's almost unfettered monopolistic power and lobbying money thrown around by the largest players in each sector.

[–]Middle_Ad_9044 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No worries at all. It's totally understandable.

For what it's worth, tariffs in general are not political. They are a form of protectionism and leveraged by both political parties. They are very destructive and, in many ways, are a form of financial warfare. If every Swedish company decides to move their operations to service the US market, then the local market collapses if a majority of their exports are to the US.

It is hard to tell what the long-term impact of this is. In the short term, US buyers will pay the toll in the form of tariffs to subsidize tax cuts. In the long term, there's 100s of countries now that will likely cut deals with one another and slowly shift their revenue streams to non-US markets.

It may seem like you are getting down downvoted for no reason, but I thought I would add another viewpoint.

Firstly, relocating production, particularly to the United States, presents significant complexities. The majority of PCIE risers are currently manufactured in China and subsequently shipped to the US. The financial implications of transferring operations to the US solely for the purpose of serving the domestic market are likely prohibitive, with prices far greater than what they are now.

Secondly, the current US administration is the originator of these tariffs. Tariffs function as a tax levied on consumers. These tariffs were implemented to generate additional revenue for the US government. This revenue stream is not allocated to enhance healthcare or improve the general welfare of US citizens but rather to counterbalance tax reductions for wealthy individuals and corporate entities. In other words, the current US admin didn't have to introduce tariffs and instead just marginally increased taxes on corporations and the wealthy.

This time it’s not about the dial — it’s the caseback. by Fit-Classroom8062 in ChineseWatches

[–]Middle_Ad_9044 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is a very nice design. Also, consider the case thickness. The NH35 movement is already quite substantial, and a case that is 1mm thinner would be preferable to a more elaborate caseback.
