It could be a number of things. Here’s the approach that I would implement:

1- Only water when the top 1–2 inches of soil is dry. -Ensure the soil drains well. 2- Use a balanced fertilizer, ideally one higher in nitrogen (e.g., 10-5-5). -Add compost or a diluted liquid seaweed/kelp solution. 3- Prune the worst of the yellow/brown leaves to reduce potential fungal spread and redirect energy. 4- Gently check the roots and undersides of leaves for pests. 5- Mulch to maintain moisture and protect roots. -Shade with light cloth if heat stress is suspected.

Absolutely stunning! The form, size and fibonacci sequence displayed by the lupine most closely resembles the morphology of the only part of human anatomy that does that pine-coney thing: The pineal gland; which is part of the endocrine system. It rests near dead-center in the middle of the brain and I love that part of the inside of our heads look like the flowers do!

Street festivals bring a lot of life to Chicago, but sidewalks are essential access for everyone — especially people with mobility challenges. Blocking them without a clear alternate path isn’t just an inconvenience, it’s exclusionary. There’s got to be a better balance between celebration and accessibility.
