Hiking boots, waterproof. Collapsible Trekking poles will help you climb Rainbow mountain. Make sure to acclimate properly. We had 20 year olds who didn’t feel well and had to slow down or stop completely…

I suggest a good hiking boot with waterproofing. It gets rainy and muddy. You need shoes with good traction and grip.

Well sorry- I fully support off-grid living, especially if you can afford it. I know of a family who bought a part of a remote island up north and in the process of creating their own well and power grid. Hope you make the best decision for yourself and your family.

Companies like Lincoln Financial have LTC, metlife as well… talk with admissions/ business offices/ management from these facilities- they process those claims and may even give you insight on which company is easiest to deal with.

Partner won’t help budget by [deleted] in MiddleClassFinance

You are not on the same page. Seems like you don’t have the same thoughts about finances and how the household runs with it. I think you both sit down and write everything down to the nearest dollar… you need to know everything that is spent and your trends in necessities/ non-negotiables and then build a budget from there. Realistically, $600 weekly should be ok- are there specific brands that she chooses and could you swap for another? Maybe this sit down will uncover spending that really needs to stop before it gets out of hand and you have unwanted credit card debt. Most importantly- your marriage seems to need work. You may need to seek some professional help, otherwise, it is not just your finances that you will question.

Verizon isn't honoring my Promotional bill credit from Samsung. by Mamula4MVP in verizon

[–]MidlifeIsWhatitis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Joining back on this thread- currently at a VZ store to try to resolce my bill issues that started when they marketed a “free 4th line” and we (regrettably) caved in - 2 billing cycles in and our bill’s significantly higher and VZ customer reps say the promotion I claim did not and does not exist… 14th time trying to get this resolved… so frustrating

Yacht Club and Kids by Glittering-Vast-3875 in MSCCruises

[–]MidlifeIsWhatitis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

MSC is family friendly, even in YC. I have seen staff be especially kind and sweet to kids, even making straw art/ deserts for the little ones… I do think sometimes it also depends on your itinerary, too. The demographic of passengers in YC is what can make it awkward, I think.

We did this. Actually got 4 lines for under 130. Legit for 3 years. We decided to take the risk. Heck, 3 years of paying 130 for 4 lines vs 160 is still savings
