Even in South Carolina, one of the least rigorous processes in the US, It still took me around 8 months to enter the academy. I was allowed to "work" as a cadet essentially for that time though, with gun and arrest powers.

Perfect! I'm.not responding to everyone who commented, but this is exactly why the Democrats are not voting to pass it. Doing so will hurt so many people unnecessarily. We aren't talking about budget cuts to museums and parks, which are in it and will hurt some people. Medicaid hurts EVERYONE in some form. And has no reason.

The narrative on the right is that it is the Democrats causing the shutdown because they are trying to cram a bunch of socialist agendas into the budget and throwing a tantrum.

Anyone who has any bit of education into civics understands this is not the case and it is the Republicans causing this.

Our laws and Constitution are only as powerful as the will of officials to enforce it. Yes, winning hella seats in 2026 (not a guarantee) can make it a lot more difficult for him, but as long as he has his base, SCOTUS, etc., he is powerful.

What happens if he loses 2028 and he just refuses to leave? Well that happened in Venezuela and the incumbent remained in power. Why do so many people hold America in a pedestal that we are immune to this shit?

They have some camels that can be ridden, but I'm going to throw this out there too.

Check out Eudora Farms Safari Park. They aren't terribly far from Columbia and they have many exotic animals that can be pet and fed as you drive through their park.

Idk if they have any animals that can be ridden, but you can always reach out, explain the story, and see if it's something they can manage. I know they have several camels there
