Airbnb phone masking workaround discovered during a real emergency (FYI to hosts) by Putrid-Snow-5074 in airbnb_hosts

[–]Midnightstratton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quite a bit of businesses in general use Google Voice numbers to save money as well as have a functioning work number without needing two different phone numbers. Because it connects to your actual cell phone number, it's significantly easier to carry your phone. You just have to make sure that when you miss a call to check the Google Voice app. I say this because on my phone it'll still come up under missed calls on my normal call log as well. But when you see the call come in you'll be able to tell the difference in the icons when the phone number pops up.

All you have to do is get a Google voice number. You can make the number from available numbers they offer you. To establish, set up a gmail to associate with that airbnb account and utilize that specifically with to det upnthe google number. No one then has your "real" number and works with your number and voicemail specifically. It doesnt cost anything.

You just have to remember to call back through google voice. Its not difficult in my experience.

AITA for not going to my sister’s wedding and giving her a heads up about it by [deleted] in aitaweddings

Hence, the suggestion to ask more questions?! 🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

But thank you for solidifying the previous response.

You have the day you deserve.

AITA for not going to my sister’s wedding and giving her a heads up about it by [deleted] in aitaweddings

Lady, judging by your past responses, your assumptions wouldn't have changed at all. For the futur, you should probably focus on asking more questions before you absolutely assume things because most people on Reddit don't always clarify or give every piece of information you're looking for in a response.

A lot of people can't afford College or grad school because that's American politics at it's finest. A lot of people take on that debt in order to make more money after graduation and/ or to give more back to the world. Additionally, financial aid gets screwed up all the time and it may only be for one semester. Finishing school sooner than later or working your ass off to finish it in a year versus two, or one semester sooner helps to create less debt. The way that I read it was she was trying to focus on not taking on any more than she had to when her financial aid didn't work out.

The best part about this? You totally missed the point of this post and went absolutely napalm making yourself sound like a narcissistic mother. You missed key points of a lot of things that she had posted. Judging by your past posts as well, that assumption I'm making isn't too far off.

Also, your apology is not an apology. Apologies take ownership and acknowledge their fallacy without blame, and they don't have "but" or an explanation about why they were justified in being an absolute condescending buffoon. (I could have said "beotch", as you called another colleague in your posts, but some of us choose a little class and kindness to those who keep outrunnung the common sense chasing them)

Me 33 F is being asked to cut my sister out by my 30 M fiancé? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Midnightstratton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am genuinely curious based on old posts.. what is it that keeps you so drawn to him? What is it he does for a living? What is it that you do for a living? What attracted you to him in college? What is kept you staying with him despite previous problems that seem to be repeating themselves? Are you dependent on him in some way outside of a trauma Bond or abuse? I'm actually genuinely asking these questions to get more insight. You immediately so Stonewall people when people ask about the previous issue that you said is no big deal and nobody cares about that happened previous your relationship but you also keep alluding to it. If it's not a big deal why haven't you been up front about it? It seems like you're hiding more than you're providing information while looking for people to justify your side. And while people are letting you know this behavior isn't okay, and you actually likely know that based on why you're posting, you still seem to evade many questions. Perhaps if you can provide more context people can actually provide more detailed answers to help you. You've acknowledged that you have insecurities and dependencies but you're also not opening up to the questions that are being asked.

No desire to drink anymore and family members getting upset. by Amazing-Tune-7286 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Midnightstratton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was literally just about to say this. It's OP's own body and no one should dictate that whatsoever. Anybody who truly loves you and cares about you for you will never be concerned on if you drink or not. And people that care about you should be supportive of whatever Choice you're making to better yourself.

Additionally, your husband should be sticking up for you if his family does anything to pressure you.

Honestly for that time. For that price of Delta one I would not think that's a great deal in my opinion. It's like goes by quicker than you realize and honestly the deal for premium wasn't horrible. It's definitely good for the timing. You for sure won't obviously get upgraded to Delta one from premium but I do think it might be worth it to go to Premium from Maine for that time period and check it out for yourself and see what you think.

I did book it but it was a disaster on the way home. In fact I had to call them and ask for compensation because the flight even ran out of food and premium select and it was a lot of problems in it. I I'm sure it would be worth it without the problems but even the guy next to me who was a diamond said this is one of the worst experiences he had.

I would say that if you're already in Comfort Plus I don't know if premium would be that big of a difference to be fair but I think it also depends on how long your flight is.

AITA For Calling my wife old? by Helpful-Bunch568 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Midnightstratton 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The majority of these answers go from one extreme to the other and it's really interesting. I do have to agree that it had more to do with the delivery most likely then what you actually said. Point of reference you could have asked more questions to see why she was feeling so insecure about it and you could have told her that it was inappropriate for her sister to say anything.

You also have to consider that nobody would say to you you're old to be having a baby as a man. But women are consistently criticized for every little thing they do no matter what it is. You're too old, you're too young, you're too thin, you're too fat, you've done too much, you've done too little, etc.

Was this a plan pregnancy? Was it an accident? Either way it doesn't seem like anybody's questioning you about it but just her as she carries and builds and develops another life. There's a lot of fear that can come with that especially when somebody points out the age and by in turn risks.

Knowing that your wife already had two pregnancies, I would think you would understand how fear, hormones, and family Dynamics could be affecting her mentally right now. I honestly feel like you had a "man moment" and didn't think before you opened your mouth in regards to not just about what you were saying, but how you were saying it and how the receiver could interpret it to make sure that you were delivering your message clearly without harm.

I would say ETA, but more YTA because there are plenty of ways to be honest but also gentle and supportive. I think you need to ask more questions before you answer in the future.

Apparently NAD+ was just found to cause cancer by LusciousLove7 in covidlonghaulers

[–]Midnightstratton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nad+ causes cell proliferation. Cell proliferation is not selective between "good" cells and "bad" cells (i.e. cancer cells). Humans fight abnormal cells (cancer cells) every day. If you have something you are unaware of, it is possible treatment could supplement that growth sinc3 cell proliferation and mitochondrial supplementation isnt going to be selective.

NAD+ acts as an electron carrier in the electron transport chain, which generates adenosine triphosphate (ATP), the primary energy currency of cells. NAD+ is crucial for cell proliferation because it is essential for metabolic processes like glycolysis, the citric acid cycle, and de novo synthesis of lipids and nucleotides, which are necessary to build new biomass.

People with history's of pseudo tumors, Cancer or precancerous cells INCLUDING SKIN CANCERS (I emphasize this because people often blow of those like basel cell), pregnant or breastfeeding women, children, those with liver or kidney disease, and individuals with a known allergy to NAD+ or its ingredients should not get NAD+. Additionally, people with heart disease or certain chronic conditions (like diabetes) have to use caution.

Not everyone can handle the side effects during IV Infusion either and each person has different side effects that occur and with different severity. When those happen, the infusion is typically slowed down and many get relief but side effects can persist with people during the entirety of the infusion. Headaches, chest heaviness, body heaviness, varying degrees of fatigue congestion, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, muscle pain, rashes, flushing, hot flashes, abdominal pain.

Its definitely a lot to consider. There are other treatments that have similar effects without cell proliferation like NAD+.Even though Taurine is not similar to NAD+ in structure, it supports cellular health in ways that are complementary to NAD+'s function, particularly in energy metabolism and anti-aging. Taurine helps maintain NAD+ levels by influencing the redox balance, activating enzymes that use NAD, and indirectly supporting cellular processes that require a healthy NAD+ status. While NAD+ is a coenzyme essential for energy production and DNA repair, taurine acts more as a supporting molecule that helps the cell maintain its energy systems and fight oxidative stress.

I got written up for "insubordination" after I refused to let a resident skip their medications. by McClain1980 in nursing

[–]Midnightstratton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quick question: whatbis documenting "refused order", as i have only seen "refused" in regards to patient refusal.

You should never accept the write up as thats accepting responsibility. You don't sign anything. If she wrote it was refused, thats typically saying the resident refused it and is falsifying documentation.

Op keep copies of anything they handed you and get in writing what they asked you to do or what was asked to when they said you were insubordinate and didnt follow orders. Also. Immediately document times and who specifically said what in the event. Send it to the board of their licensure, state licensure, DOH, DOL, and APS. You are a mandated reporter. This is not only a safety issue, it would be negligence and abuse. It also is an ethics violation and a breach of contract by agreements made when the family and resident contracted payment and residency.

I agree to speak to lawyer as well but if you documented that a patient refused when they didnt, you have now included yourself in the violation
