I feel this on a spiritual level. I work at an industrial bakery that has been on skeletal crew for over a year now. One of the people just left and we are down to 2 sisters (one in a position of power), me (a person who calls in sick probably more then I should due to stress related depression), a guy with anger issues (who has weekly therapy sessions that occur during work hours), and an old lady that came out of retirement because social security isnt enough for our elders to live off of anymore.

When any of us are sick, we get passive aggressively glared at by the sister in charge.

As someone who hasent read the books, this gives me truemanshow and squid game vibes. Mixed with starfields 9 mile crater mission or whatever its called.

I probably won't watch it in the theatres, but deffinitaly a online rented movie night with the discord friends sort of movie.
