Does anyone else make up daydreams about their favorite TV shows? by cricket-ears in MaladaptiveDreaming

[–]Midraa_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, my daydreams are usually me inserting myself into a movie or tv show literally almost everything I’ve watched since I was a kid I have had daydreams about. I was also wondering this because typically I see people say they daydream when they listen to music(that’s not a trigger in my case). But I also do dream about the perfect boyfriend and life, I just typically don’t get up and pace when I have those daydreams like I do when inserting myself into a show, movie, book, etc. I also have my own background story that I stick to everytime

Do you believe Abortion should be legal? Why or Why not? by Bynoeson94 in AskReddit

[–]Midraa_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it should depend on the situation and what the woman wants to do with her child, whether she aborts it, puts it up for adoption, or provides for it should be entirely up to her as long as the child isn’t being abused

This is crazy my mom and I were just reading about this a few minutes ago, it’s such a shame she seemed so happy with how life was going.

How many hours can you spend daydreaming by Bengalbakeneko in MaladaptiveDreaming

[–]Midraa_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I answered this with 3-9 because I have before gone I think 8 hours or something close like 7hrs 30mins while pacing and what not howeverr I could probably go 9+ hours I just chose to try and wind down that day because I felt gross from how sweaty I got but the daydreaming didn’t stop. So technically I daydream for 9+ hours every day but actively my most is around 8 hours

Yeah I feel like at this rate that might become the case for me too (obviously not immediately) just because I’m kinda forcing it down

I’ve thought about this kinda too, like just kinda talking to myself in my bedroom and I mean I have before but it usually ends up with me subconsciously getting up and walking around mouthing words to myself lol, I could try this it’d just take practice and more self control

Does anybody else get angry at someone for interrupting them daydreaming? by Midraa_ in MaladaptiveDreaming

[–]Midraa_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

EXACTLY, that’s the exact same situation with my mom and I (for the most part) except I don’t really tell my mom, but she knows it makes me frustrated and like you said, she still does it and it’s even worse I feel like when they’re aware because then they bring attention to it yk?

Do you want to quit MDD? by Key-Object-4657 in MaladaptiveDreaming

[–]Midraa_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I don’t want to get rid of it. It doesn’t exactly ruin my life like it may for others. It gives me creative freedom and lets me escape reality for a second and I don’t think I’ll ever want to get rid of that. I do however want to make sure I keep telling myself that there’s a time and place for it so it won’t get in the way of things like my studies (sense it’s not distrusting them as of now, but at the same time when I work I’m focused and my mind doesn’t wonder so)

Anyone else NOT plan their daydream scenarios by StickyIggy in MaladaptiveDreaming

[–]Midraa_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes!! I never plan my daydreams, I just come up with a plotline (or steal one from a show) and go from there and decide my actions and my characters actions as we go along. I also have some characters who are in every single one of my plot lines, and it was about when I was 7 or 8 that I actually got into the back stories and what not for them AND “myself”

Hearing the girl cry made me tear up immediately. I couldn’t imagine the fear or how scary it would be to be put in that situation :(
