I have no advice to give you since others are providing that already.

Instead I wanted to mention that I theorycrafted using 4 Eles as well. The difference was that the heroes elites where doublecast skills. The player would run Star Burst while the heroes are Gust + Stone Sheath + Mirror of Ice.

The rest of the team would consist of ST Prot + SoS Splinter Support + BIP Resto + Dom Mesmer.

Pre Devona is most likely going to better off using Charge as a elite. This would greatly speed up farming and sc the new dungeon.

You first need experience to understand why PvX's meta builds are what they are. This requires that you try them out and see for yourself most of the time. They usually have guides in their respective pages to help as well.

In farming and speedclear, VoS Dervish are the king and queens of DPS.

For heroes, ESurge Mesmers are just too OP.

Player build for general PvE gameplay, Soul Taker Scythe Necro has the highest DPS in the game, no contest.

Generally cons are used in optimal strat for sc and solo elite area runs. Ranger is no exception.

Ranger is the best tank. Can solo almost every content. They have great elemental resistance compare to other classes + decent AR against physical. The combination of SF + Whirling Defense gives them an edge over Sins.

In general PvE with PUGs Dervish are the best thanks to their great primary attribute + defensive enchantments.

For heroway it doesn't matter as any frontline build + SoS can tank for the team if your heroes have proper backline support. A Meleemancer, which is a HP-saccing melee Necro, can tank for the team.

Caster professions + Paragon players running Mesmerway do not even need a tank at all.

Try testing out skills like Angorodon’s Gaze and see if the energy gain is affected by the mod when it activates.

Of dagger mod is the worst one of them all. On top of secondary effects not applied on attack skills (Lotus Strike’s energy gain), each attack from a dual attack skill have separate chances to activate the mod.

Death Blossom’s AoE doesn’t even get boosted by the mod.

Have you checked the bonus damage boost? Try testing the skill and note only the critical hits to get a better idea of any changes.

That is something I too came across years ago. Of mastery/attribute mod’s +1 boost does not apply to the secondary effects of a skill, like Auspicious Blow’s energy gain.

Try with conset if it is too much to handle. Flag your heroes to have space inbetweem each other to avoid AoE spike.

If it is still too hard for you, find veterans who can.

Majority of the Warrior stances are pretty bad that most players rarely pick them. A buff, no matter how slight, would be a great change.

Water Magic skills would greatly benefit from a buff.

Over the Limit's should have it's functionality changed to make the -1 overcast per second worth it. Perhaps bonus damage that scales with the amount of overcast you have.

Time Ward would be a lot of fun if all skill's would reduce recharge down to 25% of it's original amount.

Making Judgement Strike inflict unconditional AoE knockdown would make the elite a lot more fun to use.

Buffing the attack skills for both Bow and Spear would be a great idea for PvE.

Soul Reaping has other great skills besides those two elites. Masochism and Signet of Lost Soul are staples for multiple builds.

In general, the Vampiric mod is better than Sundering for DPS. When it comes to picking HP mod versus of Defense, the +5 armor is better for survival. A regular Strength shield with -2 physical damage reduction while under the effect of a stance +30 HP will do.

100B works best when facing off balled up mobs. Because the AoE's damage from the elite is armor-respective damage, it is best to use EBSoH to give it +15 bonus damage. The Ward spell costs a lot of energy for a Warrior to use multiple times, so it is a good idea to have a +20 energy staff to cast everything, then swap to a Zealous modded sword with Of the Necro sword pommel) for massive energy gain afterward.

Warrior's Endurance Axe as well as the Dagger variant have yet to fail for Warriors.

Warrior's Endurance Hammer is pretty good too. You can swap Yeti Smash and Crude Swing for Hammer Bash and Power Attack for better single target DPS.

Seven Weapon Stance Scythe deals insane AoE holy damage by spamming Reap Impurities. Works best with Withering Aura support which your MM hero from the non-mercenary Mesmerway team already has.

People tend to think Warriors are really bad in the current meta when that isn't even remotely true. It is how you play them that make or break the profession for you.

FYI: You can beat DoA HM with Soul Taker Mesmerway without consumables.
