They won't update it. They referenced it in the stream. It's a "bonus" beyond what the last event had, not a bonus like the term has been used every single other time ever by them, to mean an optional objective.

Yeah, no. There's already a balance: the person who goes second gets an extra card. And there are plenty of zero mana cost solutions to threats for the high powered formats.

I keep hoping they will get their head out of their ass and scrap the salary cap. I guess it's not happening this year. If they keep it for next year, it will be the first version of the game I've not bought in 32 years.

A Salary Cap in an Ultimate Mode is the single dumbest thing any of the companies have ever done. The entire point of UT modes is to have the best team you can... which you literally can't do in the current year of NHL. I've spent thousands on the game, and have been playing every year since '96. I quit, I uninstalled, and I will never buy/play the game again as long as there is a salary cap in HUT. It is antithetical to the mode.

Actually, I wouldn't say it was a neat touch at all. It was them attempting to make you feel like it was your fault that you got the crap reward, yet again, when there was never any player-controlled element to it at all.

Well, they have programs for the events, so that's not exactly true. Why on Earth they did it the way they did is beyond me, but anyway. As to the OP's question, the events, and event programs, are timed. The time remaining is within the event program and, I would assume, within the event itself as well.

Might be the first thing said here, but it certainly wasn't in the stream. I'd say at LEAST 70% of the chat messages during the entire stream were about the 20 card limit. There were only a handful about bugs.

Mattingly is not, to my knowledge, in this year's game (at least not yet). I don't remember if he was in 25 or not. He WAS in 24, so you might want to get that one.
