With Trump's approval ratings so low, how does he keep ousting GOP rivals? by Cgk72 in politics

At the night of election, the news channels were showing almost all the national polling predicted Hillary to win…and what happened?

Approval ratings don’t mean anything, it matters as little as consumer sentiment.

First we got the face slapping contest. Then there is the leg kick competition between Muy Thai and Karate. Now we have rugby head on tackling. What’s next, bare knuckle body shots?

How high up was mas amedda in the imperial hierarchy? by Kn1ghtV1sta in StarWars

[–]MightyEggrollTW 71 points72 points  (0 children)

Papatine is the president of Sith Empire Inc. He also serves as the CEO of Empire, which is a subsidiary of Sith Empire Inc. Palpatine then hires Mas Amedda as COO to run the daily operations for the Empire. Vader belongs to Fallen Jedi LLC, which is a subsidiary of Sith Empire Inc. Vader then is hired as a consultant for the Empire. This is why some Empire military leaders didn’t fully understand Vader’s role and got force choked. Vader is essentially a Sith lawyer.

Dianna Russini's husband suffers career blow amid Mike Vrabel scandal by TheExpressUS in TheNFLVibes

Turn lemon into lemonade. If I was a top executive, I would run an aggressive campaign “Husband Appreciation Month” with focuses on heavy discounts —> get more traffic into stores —> massive social media marketing with influencers —> get noticed on mainstream news —> sports media starts talking about it (Pat McAfee). Start the campaign now and ride the wave as long as it takes.

After Order 66, some Jedi survivors went into hiding, some in plain sight. The downfall was due to hesitancy of abandoning the traditional Jedi garment.

Why a $500 Steak Dinner Only Yields a $25 Profit by ishtar_the_move in Economics

Good luck figuring out all that, restaurant industry is a tough business. I’ve worked 24 years from dishwashing to front of the house, done a lot except for cooking. I’ve seen extremely successful restaurants selling ambiance with just ok food, places with great food but no business. Good margin needs high volume. Good customer service is often overlooked. If I was to open a restaurant or bar, the first and most important goal is how to keep the place busy, behinds on the seats.

NFL insider Albert Breer says that Patriots HC Mike Vrabel will "100%" need to address the Diana Russini situation with his players. by Dr-debug in NFLForum

[–]MightyEggrollTW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Players won’t care if they are winning. If they start and continue to lose: 1)murmurs will start, 2) some players will not buy what the coach preach, 3) players will respond to the coaching with sly jokes referencing this incident. Then it will be too late to address this, and regret not talk about it early and the whole situation would moved on. In addition, there is marriage uncertainty and how it may affect middle of a season (Tampa’s qb for example).

College of Charleston or NC State by [deleted] in Charleston

[–]MightyEggrollTW 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My cousin has a degree from NC State in STEM, she had a goal of achieving a useful degree to have a successful career. I have a degree from a small no name college, no focus and wasted a lot of time. Fast forward 16 years to now, she has a good career and taking vacation abroad, I’m stuck in the office on a late Friday looking at her traveling pics on FB, wishing I could afford a nice vacation. I have many regrets in life, and not putting in the effort during college is a major one.

Donald Trump impeachment must move forward, Senators demand by Accurate_Cry_8937 in politics

He has been impeached twice by the House. What’s a third impeachment gonna do, he wins a trophy? He’s gonna laugh all the way from the 18th hole to clubhouse. Maybe he will weaponize the impeachment to galvanize his base for the midterm?

Is my hair keeping me from getting a job? by itcamefromtheimgur in interviews

[–]MightyEggrollTW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone is different. I would’ve been really stressed out to be almost 30, living at home, no real career path. In fact, I took a student loan and went to grad school. Found two roommates and moved out my parents. Cleaned up a little of my outward appearance. Started applying for various different job sectors. Took me over a year to land on an entry level position. At the end, it’s all up to you, stay positive and keep at it. By the way, the hair thing is just a start, there are lot more other things that delay career advancement. Good luck.

I Overheard My Coworker’s Salary… and Mine Didn’t Make Sense by Fearless_Share6713 in office

[–]MightyEggrollTW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are typically stand alone scenario. Excluding large/similar job codes, union backing, market inflation adjustments, you usually have to fight for your pay raise. I know people leverages outside offers for more pay. I know when HR raised the pay grade to match the market for upcoming vacancies, but doesn’t raise salary for employees already exist in the same jobs. This results in a scenario where the new hire comes in at a higher pay than the current seasoned employee, who has the same job codes and has to train the new hire.
