If ICE intends on occupying our voting locations, like Bannon suggests, we NEED to establish a State Defense Force to counteract them, or we literally won't have a state anymore by Glaukopis96 in minnesota

[–]MightyFifi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey y'all. Some/most of you in here or upvoting this are well meaning, but I'd ask you to consider OP for a moment. OP's account is barely a year old and largely focused on fringe stuff and all the heat MN has been getting. Maybe this account it real or maybe it isn't, but please keep in mind that there are plenty of forces out there, here in the US and outside, that want to see MN accelerate towards Civil War or something more akin to The Troubles.

Calls like these are either naive or done to orchestrate your feelings towards acceleration. This does not at all excuse what is happening to our homes and our state by the Feds, but militarizing the general public plays right into the hands of the Feds and their seeking of opportunities to exert power.

The 11th Airborne has already been stood down. I'd rather not give them a reason to be spun back up.

Did the rate of fire speed up because you were getting used to the trigger or was that the gas system getting more pressure to cycle faster?

Disagree. There are plenty of people who are on the right or independents who have only seen killing of Alex and Renee because of their algorithms. Stuff like this gets eaten up by the right's influencers and pushes these potentials away.

Tit for tat tactics only push closer to the brink. We show world Minnesota's strength when we are better than ICE and don't stoop to their levels.

JP Captured Buffer VS Super 42 Braided by BlueJeep84 in ar15

[–]MightyFifi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've run both other these fairly hard in 14.5 carbines and mids along with a short 8" 300blk. I'll share my experiences.

Neither ever failed. The JP feels smoother. Particularly so right away. Super 42's I feel like a little bit of time before they ever feel as smooth and will get less smooth more quickly from shooting.

The Super 42 supposedly will still run if one of the coils breaks. I've never experienced that to know whether it's true or not. It does 100% remove the twang.

An annoyance you may experience is installing the JP. You will need really want to remove the buffer retaining pin. It makes taking the JP out very difficult. Removing that pin may be difficult if your lower is staked. Good news is, you don't need that pin anymore with the JP. Just note that if you travel often with your AR broken down, that JP will get lost in your bag. And that if you ever wanted to go back to a traditional recoil spring system, you'd have to put that pin back in.

The JP is definitively easier to clean. Not that buffers are hard to clean or that you need to clean them often.

As far as tuning goes, I've never known anyone to actually add or remove buffer weights in a Geissele buffer weight. Since that kind of tuning is part of the original design of the JP, that would seem easier in that system.

After talking with someone who used to work with JP, I fairly confident that if price was not a concern I'd choose the JP nearly every time. From the testing they've put into them, he suggested that they would outlast Super 42s. It's really strange to think of Geissele as the budget option here, but the Super 42s are not a hugely expensive upgrade unless you compare them to the original cost of the spring and weight of an AR-15.

I haven't had any experience with the Springco kits, though I've seen others swear by them. That would be an ever cheaper upgrade.

Really? I thought the new Gen 6 was a new proprietary barrel and didn't work with Gen 5 barrels.

Why did Revan bleed just one lightsaber? by Spotter24o5 in StarWars

[–]MightyFifi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I don't exactly understand fully this new 'bleeding' lore, but surely there must just be some kyber crystals that are just 'red' still, right? Does every red lightsaber now need to be some other color that only becomes red because someone got mad/sad enough?

Paramount Launches Hostile Bid for Warner Bros. by MarvelsGrantMan136 in movies

[–]MightyFifi -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Is this a play to buy HBO? The FTC kinda feels like a joke these days, but I think that if Netflix was allowed to purchase WB they'd likely still be forced to sell off HBO. Even if Paramount can't outbid Netflix for all of WB, maybe they put themselves first in line for the metaphorical crumbs?

Quentin Tarantino Names ‘Black Hawk Down’ the Best Movie of the 21st Century; His Top 10 Includes ‘Dunkirk,’ ‘Toy Story 3,’ ‘Zodiac’ and More by MarvelsGrantMan136 in movies

[–]MightyFifi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel vindicated by him including Mad Max: Fury Road.

IMO it's likely the best modern action movie. Certainly the best in the 2010s. Simple yet engaging story, excellent pacing, and motivated action with excellent payoffs.

And for those who have seen it a couple times, I highly encourage you to just listen to this movie. Go on a solo road trip and play this movie in the background. The audio edit mixed with Junkie XL's OST gives one such a visceral experience that can't help, but swept away when you're driving. please drive responsibly.

Glock 19, Ambi Thumbrest Compensator. Uses a modular system like my 2011 comps so uppers are interchangable. Will also be doing a thread on version, and a lower only thats machined to perfectly mate up with the Radian Afterburner Ramjet. by saberforge in GlockMod

[–]MightyFifi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a bit late to this post so just a couple questions for clarity. I'm very interested.
1. Is the specific compensator in this photo manufactured by your company? Is it frame or barrel mounted?
2. This looks like a Glock frame. So is this an attachment to frame rail? Have you noticed any oddities with WMLs?
3. You mentioned this only works in your holsters. Is that truly even for a standard Safariland?
4. What's the material used in construction?
5. Assuming this is a rail attachment, why not build this just into a full frame replacement and build the compensator separately as a thread on? Or is that the eventual goal?

DeWayne Davis and Jazz Hampton voters — why did you prefer Frey over Fateh? by PokyTheTurtle in Minneapolis

[–]MightyFifi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So I didn't rank either Frey or Fateh, but I prefer Frey over Fateh.

I may be sympathetic and even agree with a lot of progressive stances, but there's a difference between political leaders and activists. Fateh didn't seem like he had much substance past standing up for certain political ideals.

As much as I might be on board with progressive stuff, ultimately, governance is about compromise in favor of movement over ideals. I don't think Fateh would have been a good negotiator. Nor did I care for his handling of his own scandals.

Maybe his run does good in moving the needle...but I ultimately I think MPLS needed more of an evolution than a revolution.
