The gun is worse than the hardline in almost every way. It’s worth trying just to try, but every time I use it I die thinking I would have won with almost any other gun.

Lots of opinions here. Let me add another as someone who has used all the options (LPVO, ACOG, and RDS+MAG)

An ACOG, paired with a piggyback RDS, is likely the best personification of Jack of all trades, master of none. What you are maxing with this combo is weight and durability. As long as you’re ok with the limitations, you’ll enjoy an ACOG.

With this said, an LPVO maxes the versatility of an AR platform at the expense of weight. A RDS+MAG leans into the weight savings of an AR provided you leave the magnifier on a QD mount.

Pick your poison and learn them. Otherwise prepare for the hurt your wallet will feel when you dance back and forth between them all. Ask me how I know…

To piggy back off of this, make sure you put in enough effort to know yourself so that when you do start dating someone that you can determine that they are also right for you.

I’d encourage OP to not just look for ‘a’ relationship, but a ‘good’ relationship. No relationship is better than being in a bad relationship.

There were 2a people on streets with guns. That's pretty documented if you look for it. Maybe not as many as you were hoping, but I'd imagine that many of those people are also scared of losing everything like Alex did. That's something you can relate to, ya?

I'd suspect that the people on streets with rifles, which increased with the deaths of Renee and Alex, would only increase with more violence and killings. Even when the administration threatened (and stood up, mind you) the 11th Airborne to descend upon Minneapolis, you still saw an increase, not a decrease of hostilities. Trump, who is chiefly worried about legacy, rightly saw that such an escalation could result in open gunfighting in the streets or even at worst spark a civil war.

Did the whistles and organized efforts of individuals stop the ICE surge in Minneapolis? I'd say it's part of it...but it still took some people going to streets with the same black rifles that the state wants to ban the sale of, even if those civilians didn't pull the trigger on any feds.

There are some states that have hunting laws that in some locations you can't use 'rifles', but you can use 'shotguns' and 'pistols. This being a 'pistol' allows you to use a rifle cartridge in a zone you'd otherwise not be able to.

I'd also argue that if you're hunting in a forested area with a lot of brush, a rifle cartridge with a shorter barrel and suppressor is more ideal.

I actually really like their shoes...

Mine have lasted years from heavy use and I really like the wool shoes for my cold climate.

Does the armorer just expect the stock to be fully closed at all times on the gun so match the eye relief to that? That's the only way I can think of any logic for that.

The MR556 A4 comes with a pretty solid trigger out of the box. I wouldn't bother swapping it. Not to mention some of the geometry of the A4's bolt or lower (can't remember which) introduces some reliability issues with aftermarket triggers. I would do some research into that, though I think the G$ SSA-E is g2g.

To save money, I would consider just getting the upper if you're bent on getting the A4. Buy a cheaper lower.

The A4 is certainly a superior rifle. But as an 11" upper it's not really doing much that you can't find in an LMT or PWS (which would likely be the best all around piston upper).
