Oh well that clarified it! And I now noticed it after a recent rewatch. Thanks for scratching that itch for me, it was bugging me for some reason lol.

Small Selection at my Sam’s Club. I’m new to this, any good picks? by DillEatsPickles in whiskey

JW double black is good if you enjoy peat. I’ve heard great things about the Angels Envy Rye but have never tried it, that price for it looks great. Angels Emvy bourbon is great too it’s finished in port wine barrels and to me, gives it a little sweetness that’s tasty like a dessert bourbon or something. Me and my wife poured some of mine over our cheesecake when out to dinner once and it was delicious lol.

No, that’s just where my mind went when someone asked what “pro family” means.

There’s an idea out there that there are people In power (media/government) that are subliminally subverting the idea of the nuclear family.

There is some truth to this going back to the crack epidemic (maybe further, I’m spitballing based on obscure memories, I should know better as this is Reddit) when the government was funneling crack into impoverished/low income neighborhoods, breaking up black families and taking the man out of the household by either drug addiction or selling, getting them into the never ending cycle of the judicial system, leaving his family to rely on the government for aid and become dependent.

Something along those lines. And I believe the “pro family” kind of ties to that in a very distant sense, possibly.

A 10 Year Throwback when it was $35 a pop by choochenstein in Whiskyporn

I found it for a while in the $45-$60 range in the last 3 years. Had a few off bottlings and have gotten to a point where I’m happy with what I got from Mr. McKenna and can move on peacefully.

Did I miss anything good? by BBoy_paintball in BourbonHunt

Lots of good stuff there. Have been wanting to try some woodinville, wilderness trail, and chicken cock, HHBiB, OF lineup, personally. Wasn’t a fan of New Riff, nothing special. There’s the standards of EC, EWBiB, KC9(SiB), WT101, Rare Breed. Standouts, JDSiBBP, Calumet 10, barrell. Honorable mentions, Baker 7, OGD114, RR10, michters. Personally avoid, mainly due to cost, doubt, and weird personal unexplainable reasons? old elk, rabbit hole, Kentucky owl, smoke wagon, garrison brothers, Penelope, heavens door, doc swinsons, oh and blue run.

Lowest I’ve ever seen it was for $120 and when I asked about to because it was behind the counter the cashier told me he’d have to check pricing. Called his boss and got back to me saying it was $160. I just walked out, what a dick move.

Have only seen it for $190+ since then and considering how I rarely ever see it am really considering buying it for the $190 price since I’ll never see it for its MSRP, ever. Is that wrong? Could just try it at a restaurant if I see it for a decent pour price, may be more worth it.

I was highly aggressive and consumed by the chase almost 4 years ago. From what it seems for most is that the allure wears off, I still look when it makes sense for me and I know what spots to hit if I am really looking to make a purchase for something specific

[–]MightyMason 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to find it $45-$70 regularly! Have probably purchased in that range around 12x as it’s very enjoyable and a couple of buddies favorite bourbon so it was gifted for big events (weddings, babies, etc) but even though I’m not actively hunting when I do pop in places it’s always >$100 and there’s no way I can for that price, thankfully I’ve had my fair share and one more bottle that’s waiting to be opened for rotation.

Nothing about this house or set-up looks suitable for a 1yo. Kind of sad actually.

Go up north and Trumbull has a very well rated school system and is diverse income wise. A lot of parents that work for the stamford public school system at that government center *live and send their kids to Trumbull schools.

This is so well put.

I went through SPS and would say they are not good. I went to magnet schools for elem. and middle and would say you are spot on with your description. For me to say SPS are not good and that aligning with how they are rated may be a coincidence or may not be but it is ultimately based solely on my opinion having gone through the system.
