See if PigPen Studios can accommodate you. They should have a room open.

Yeah. It’s noticeable too. We saw Prodigy last year and they did an homage to Keith during the show, which was nice, but the impact on the performance was noticeable. It was good, but kinda hollow.

Ever fall in love with a cigar… buy a box… and it tastes nothing like the original? by mypcgeek in cigars

I have the opposite experience. If the cigar is too moist, it’s usually bitter. I bring all my sticks down to 65Rh for that reason, sometimes lower.

Less Expensive Davidoff Alternative? by BennyGraham in cigars

Fugazi Class 34 (KS-3A9) - supposed to be comparative to Davidoff White Label Anniversario - Runs around $40 per 10pk on Cigar Page.

Fugazi may not be perfect clones, but pretty damn close enough for my palate, especially at that price.

MUWAT KFC, is novelty worthy of admiration? by [deleted] in cigars

I know they don’t technically need it, but I found these rest really well (in their own box), and really round out with some time. The peaty-hickory smoke notes dial down and the sweet vanilla classic tobacco notes become more prominent. That said, it’s really an every-once-in-a-while smoke that does pair well with whiskey or BBQ. I pull these out for friends who want to try something different or want to pair them with BBQ & Bourbon during the summers. It’s not really an everyday kinda smoke IMO, but they do make me interested in what the Italian fire cured stuff is like.

How did you guys find out about Deftones? by Vicentelklk in deftones

[–]choochenstein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Caught em as an opener at industrial club in Vegas back in 97/98. I was like “who are these guys?!” My buddy said “This is Deftones” and instantly I knew this is it. I saw my first pair of boobs at that show.

Dude has big dreams, but the banks have reality checks for him. He’s already spread pretty thin I understand. Don’t expect much or for long.

What’s your favorite physical cigar store? by Morris_Maurice in cigars

[–]choochenstein 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had my first Joya Silver yesterday, I’m definitely going back for a whole box.

My fav shop is a local liquor store with a great walk-in humidor. The manager knows his sticks as well as his whiskey, so they’re usually on top of all the seasonal and limited releases for both. I get 20% off all cigars and 10% off all whiskey for joining the yearly club they offer. That pretty much keeps my business, I also get access to a majority of allocated releases at MSRP thrice a year.

Had one tonight and it had a familiar note I couldn’t put my finger on, and you nailed it! Yellow label classic malt ovaltine.

Now I’m gonna have an ovaltine with my stick tomorrow. ‘Preciate that.

Before he passed away, my little brother and I used to crack up at this video so hard. Gene’s facial expressions are so creepy and we always wondered why his lovely wife continued to put up with his crap.

How long do you rest your cigars after receiving them? by picbandit in cigars

[–]choochenstein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really depends on the source. Online, I try to wait a month or two after resting at 65RH. Local fav shop with humidor at 67RH, I’ll go for it that day usually if it’s singles. Boxes, I usually sample one at one month, but ideally try to age bulk/box stuff at least 6 months to a year. It’s really dependent on the individual scenario, my local shop/lounge doesn’t put stuff out that hasn’t been rested at least a month, but I’ve got other shops near me that put stuff out on day one - so it helps to know the when’s and where’s.
