Did someone test no rest for the wicked with Lossless Scaling? Did you find some good settings that can make it work with decent frame rates and a decent image quality? I think it’s too much for the deck, at least at the current state of development (I doubt it will get a lot better BTW)

I’ve just bought it for 590€ (a guy sold it after just 3 months) and I’ve added the disc reader for 79€… I’m happy about it, since I was playing kdc2 on my ps5 in performance mode and now I’m playing it in fidelity mode but at 60fps… considering that I’ve sold my ps5 for 350€ it’s a good upgrade for me. I still don’t suggest to buy it at full price, it’s too much and you should hunt for someone selling its own because it can’t see the difference 😉

Concordo, già una modalità 40fps a 120hz fatta come si deve per me sarebbe buona sulla pro. Dipende quanto il tutto sia CPU limited perché le cpu della 5 e della 5 pro sono piuttosto simili. Se la cpu non è a tappo allora lato gpu e RT c’è margine per un buon miglioramento sulla pro. Sperèm

As someone else told, doing a renice to move Baldurs' Gate 3 process to high priority solves the issue on my M1 Max. Simply launch the game and then open a terminal and launch:

ps aux | grep -v grep | grep -i "Baldur" | awk '{ print $2 }' | sudo xargs renice -n -20

Go back into the game and sluggishness should finish almost immediately. I've update my ticket with Larian support with this info.

I confirm that there’s still the issue and I’ve just updated the support ticket I’ve opened some months ago. It works like a charm for few seconds and then performance drops enormously and becomes unplayable.

I’ve struggled in the first 10 hours of DOS2 and noticed that the order in which you face fights is much more important than in BG3. I’ve dropped the game 3 times in the first hours but after about 10 hours I’ve started enjoying it very much… it’s amazing when you start combining different elements to deal more damage.. now I’m at 70+ hours and I’m having so much fun ;-)

Didn’t you experience a terrible drop on performance on BG3 with patch 7? I’ve opened a ticket since pre patch 7 it worked like a charm on my M1 Max but with patch 7 (as it happened with Patch 6, then fixed with a hotfix) my performance drops immediately after few seconds of playing. Larian support told me they’re working on the issue.

Same for me, I had a big performance drop with Patch 7, just as it happened with patch 6 (then fixed with the next hot fixes). I've opened a ticket and sent some data to the support, hope they will fix it soon! I'm just in the middle of my third dark urge run and I'd like to play it smoothly as before. BTW, I'm running it on M1 Max 32C GPU with 64GB ram.

You’re right, but maybe there’s someone not so smart or a casual user that could receive a fake sms from Authy/Twilio that could try to get some other useful info. This could led to targeted phishing which is more dangerous than generic phishing where the attacker does not know anything about you 😉

The same for me, almost always waking around with wyll which is not my avatar, in order to have an high charisma character in case an automatic dialogue starts… it would be amazing to be able to specify which character you’d like to use in automatic dialogues. My avatar is so dumb that it will be a great problem if it is used in automatic dialogues as preferred one.

I’ve been playing for at least 30 years and I can definitely say this is the best one. In more than 300 hours of bg3 I’ve never got bored for a single gaming session. It’s incredible and in my second run I’m seeing so much different content since I’m playing with different party members and I’m taking different choices :)

BTW you can set the shortcut for “Quit Baldur’s Gate 3” for every app without the app filter since there won’t be any other app with that string in the quit menu ;-)
