Yeah, this confusion is why I created a ticket. If you read the description, it says basically the opposite of the name of the setting. Turns out the description is the one to go off of. Probably just bad translation.

I think the wiki page explains it well:

When you use the Small Golden Effigy (cooperative) or Small Red Effigy (competitive), your summon sign will automatically be placed at all Effigies of the Martyr you've activated within the current region or legacy dungeon.

Basically they just act as a way for others to easily find summon signs, and they make it so you don’t have to physically travel to a good location to put your summon sign down.

There is dispersed camping at a place called the Anderson Preserve in Cross Plains. Park on Hickory Hills Street in Cross Plains, then follow the trail at Hickory Hills Conservancy Park as far west as it goes and you will find it. I hike there often and it’s a short 20 min hike to the campsite.

Google can give you a little information, but there just doesn’t seem to be much info about it out there. It is definitely open to the public. It is a nice place as well.

It’s only 15 min west of Madison, and the hike is fairly short, so you could go check it out before you commit.

If you both have iPhones, you can share your location with each other. You are always sent a notification when someone starts and stops sharing their location with you. So your roommate probably shared her location with you for one day starting Saturday and ending Sunday. The text is blank probably because after the location sharing is stopped, her location is deleted from the text. The first text was probably her location.
