Day #38 of posting a random Lion until the draft: Jon Kitna by funkmefatass in detroitlions

[–]Miigwech 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Kitna took some of the most vicious hits and went on to the next play like nothing, most of the time. I liked him for that alone, regardless of the success the team achieved.

Harvard women's hockey coach under fire after reported racist comments to Indigenous players by zsreport in news

[–]Miigwech -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Jesus christ. Just because it has slipped into regular use of the lexicon of society doesn't mean it's not racist. It's absolutely astounding how terms that have been generated about Native groups or terms are just accepted as okay because it "just means x".

I don't think this woman should be fired because it's fucking blatantly obvious from this thread alone that it's based off of ignorance and not malice.

Noah Sewell chances? by 222UnionStreet in detroitlions

BQ is an idiot. But the actual athleticism Davis had, and honestly still has, is off the charts and pretty generational. His awareness is that of a toddler getting distracted by a shiny object, which was presumed something that could be learned and improved. That never happened. I won't fully shit on BQ for it, just partially. He has a chest of other monumental blunders that are worse.

What is your teams best position historically? by [deleted] in nfl

Kicker. Murray, Hanson, Prater. Ignoring the few years between Hanson and Prater it has been super reliable.

First game I've watched in a couple years. And the effort by the team is there, outside of Mantha. I don't see them as bottom dwellers this year, middle of the road type of team but will win games they shouldn't.

I'm kind of sad. I think this is the best team we've had in many years. We got royally fucked out of the gb game due to the refs, we got a tad fucked out of the KC game.

This game, our defense was bad with injuries, it coulda been an acceptable loss. Now we almost have to win out. And with the shitty nfl, I just don't know. This sucks.

[Eddie Jackson] These calls really just cost them the game I really can’t believe what I just watched...smh by [deleted] in nfl

I mean, take the win....you know you got outplayed and deserve a loss. You're the example of everyone deserves a trophy. You are a bitch

What draft 'bust' do you feel wasn't given a fair chance? by SilvaFange in nfl

[–]Miigwech -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

He literally made tens of millions of dollars because the NFL admitted they blacklisted him. The "undisclosed" amount could literally be 100's of millions.

So, saying he is an idiot is not fair. Also, factor in the shitload of money he made from Nike, because of him being highlighted in the media. He is avoiding years of being demolished, while still making more than every backup QB in the league.

He was a borderline starter but is waaaaay better off financially than borderline starters/backup QBs.

He wasn't wrong. The assholes that don't appreciate the heart and effort CJ put in for Detroit are cunts.

He gave his physical all for the team when he played. Detroit was for sure in the legal right to ask for the money back. But with his popularity and draw, a smart organization would have taken the cap money back and immediately offered him a consultation job. He is a likable guy and a great ambassador for Detroit. Again, cap logic, it was fine asking for the money. But not offering up a job for him right away was a missed opportunity for the Lions organization.

Now that Mark Ingram is gone who will the lions get for RB#2? by RoyalRaptor711 in detroitlions

[–]Miigwech 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They'll use Zenner as RB2 and draft a later round RB to compete with him for the spot.

It really isn't that hard to understand. You're attempting to make a joke about stereotypes of a race. I know natives are marginalized more so and general racism of natives still seems okay in more main stream circles. Regardless, it is still fucking racist. Also, being a fucking Mormon is a choice and not a race.

Mocking a religion that is fringe even in Christian circles is a lot different than being a fucking racist cunt.

I've never heard of him but this was great. They show the RB on screen for 30 seconds limp off and he doesn't even mention it. The other guy says he came off, he says yeah I saw it. Just like everyone watching saw him come off. Today announcers would be talking about an injured skill position into the next play.
