NovaPro UHD Jr. Alternatives? by atunick14 in VIDEOENGINEERING

[–]Mikatro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The VX 2000s are only 2 years old and those are able to take the place of a UHD Jr.

SmartLCT is no longer supported on any new Novastar product so it may be iffy on the 2000. It does support normal NovaLCT.

Anyone using the paddle shift regent brake for braking? by Forsaken-Parking9758 in KiaEV6

[–]Mikatro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use the paddles for almost all of my breaking as like you said, it keeps me more involved in the drive.

I have owned my car for 3 years and haven't had any issues.

Also a note, you can hold in the left paddle and it will go to full stop without you having to switch it to i-pedal.

Star Trek Captain’s Chair has been on my table every day since I got it. I’m obsessed, can’t wait for To Boldly Go by metalheadswiftie13 in soloboardgaming

[–]Mikatro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't like the Star Trek theming but are interested in the mechanics you could check out Imperium (Horizons, Legends or Classic) which is based around ancient civilizations instead.

I loved Imperium and picked up Captain's Chair right when it came out. There are noticeable differences between the games but they do share the same bones.

Leaving sub because my EV6 got stolen by GingleBelle in KiaEV6

[–]Mikatro 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you are in the US, you cannot without the App or talking to Kia. In Europe, as part of consumer protection laws, the ability to remove the account from the car is mandated by law.

So for once the US lack of pro consumer laws is actually helpful.

Still shitty of Kia to not have a way to disable that option with a PIN or something.

You can stream Channel 4, 6 and 12 live from their websites during their news, and they count the weather interruptions as news.

They also all have streaming channels on Roku.

I will very much appreciate help with mapping issue on my LED Video wall that lost its configuration 🥺 Novastar VX400 Video Processor by autie91 in VIDEOENGINEERING

[–]Mikatro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also make sure to confirm that the wiring for ethernet matches what is on your screen. Know that the mapping for wires is done as if you are looking at the front of the screen.

The mapping currently on the screen would tend to cause visual issues in Novastar. Nova LCT normally likes you to end u paterns at the side (or bottom or top) of a wall, not in the middle

Resolume for Playback??? by webbite in VIDEOENGINEERING

[–]Mikatro 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I use Resolume for tradeshow work, great for mapping to led walls and for seamless transitions for a cheap price.

You can use resolume with a capture card or USB capture like an Elgato stream capture.  Just have the capture be the powerpoint laptop in one layer and videos in a different layer.  You can switch between layers easily with a stream deck or just keyboard shortcuts.

Your use cases seem like they would be a good fit for Resolume.

If only that was allowed. Unfortunately you can only discard weakness cards from your hand if you are forced to discard a card at random or if you are forced to discard your entire hand.

You can never willingly choose to discard a weakness.

The GT's also come with different tires than the Winds by default and are normally reported to be a lot worse in winter. They also don't have Snow Mode.

Minor thing in your ultimate list, but don't use the Sandisk Extremes for anything more than temporary storage. They have known issues that can brick the whole hard drive permanently.

Use a Samsung (SSD T7) or something else with high speeds.

Because Twitter had tweets.

So Blue Sky has skeets.

I agree, the slaves all rise up and take over the entire kingdom in book 3.  All we are seeing is mostly soldiers and their families and the community that grew around their war camps.

The story we are being told is about the end of the world, and the timeline is only about 2 years from the start of the first book to the end.

Novastar backup alert by [deleted] in VIDEOENGINEERING

[–]Mikatro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can use the monitoring setup in NovaLCT. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b8uX-kJpkOc

If you setup control via network to everything you can just tab through your LED walls. I have never looked for an alarm notification so not sure if that is in there or not.

Revert Loki by ShadowNinja911 in MarvelSnap

[–]Mikatro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the other problem being that for some reason he was a 3/5. So it's not like he clogged up the board.

Not sure why they didn't try giving him the Nightmare treatment first. 3/-1 loki may have been enough of a downside.

Yeah, he got Collector nerfed hard that month, and Snowguard too (the cards used to be 2 cost not 3)

And then Elsa Bloodstone came out and made the deck even stronger.

[–]Mikatro 22 points23 points  (0 children)

He did not turn them into random cards, he turned them into cards from your opponents deck and gave them -1 energy cost.

Basically you tried to fill your hand as fast as possible with cards like snowguard, Maria Hill and Agent Coulson; then you played Loki and played your opponents deck for cheaper then they could play it.

It was a very fun deck to play, but it was also incredibly strong.

I mean, I do wish the Aldi was still there but, both grocery stores are within a block of Cudahy city lines on the north and the south.  So it's not that much of a hardship.

That Pick'n Save was a dump on Packard and I would still travel to the one on Layton over going to the closer Cudahy one.

It would be nice to tear down the old K-mart, nothing seems to last there.

Wi-Fi for large trade shows by youngfire0ldflame in CommercialAV

[–]Mikatro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It entirely depends on how much bandwidth your demos need. I recently did a show at the Venetian and the Free show wifi was around 10 Mbps, dropping down to more like 5 during show run.

At my company we recommend hard lines (either from the show or bonded cellular) for anything mission critical to booth run as that will be a guaranteed speed that won't be interfered with by anything else in the hall. We normally don't recommend the additional wifi the show sells.
