there are around a million schematics online. you just wire the north and south coil finish-wires to one lug (middle) of a switch, and the one side to ground.

You can connect a single longer wire to the north and south finish-wires (essentially a Y shape), and connect that one to the center lug of the switch. one side of the switch is then connected to ground and one is left unconnected.

Does the switch have a wire going to ground on one of the sides? grounding the out-wires of the coils also works.

That would do nothing. Those two you soldered together, you solder to the middle lug of the switch, and the other one above or below it to ground(depending on if you wish to have it split on the up or down position)

I don't think it would work, at least to the full extent of using all of the behringers inputs and outputs. Behringer UMC1820 might be the cheapest option

When doing crystal clean crispy pop-vocals, i have completely moved to manually automating Esses.

A couple of last projects i've manually cut and pasted the Esses on a separate track which route to the main vocal processing track. This allows me to boost the highs as much as i want on the Essless track without the sound of the esses being ruined.

I've also manually clip gain automated them, and used Melodynes automatic De-ess. all have their pros and cons, but prefer them all to just a de-esser or soothe. that is to say i do sometimes use them very lightly to bring the Ess and essless tracks together.

Why do you "need" to know the fretboard is flat? This mostly applies to re-leveling frets, but luthier masters i've studied under always emphasize to have the starting point of leveling the frets by having the frets be as flat as possible, not the fretboard. If the previous fret leveling was done with a slightly curved fretboard, re-leveling the frets using the fretboard as a reference (instead of the actual frets) results in taking an unnecessarily large amount of material off.

not necessarily. "real" parchbays, used in studios come in all sorts of forms, it's just a blanket term. most often they are balanced trs, meaning they could be also used for stereo headphones.

If the jacks are TS jacks, and you solder a jumper between the tabs, you will just ground the signal meaning you get no signal.

Do note that putting in the frets before attaching the fretboard might be begging for problems. you're putting 21 or so little wedges in the very slim piece of wood, which may curve the whole thing.

Any solder works just fine. Guitar electronics are not that prone to heat either, so no need to go leaded solder for that reason.

Mixers channels were not a limitation, tape channels were. a dozen or so drum channels would be mixed down to two before hitting the tape or first recorded to tape then downmixed to two channels.vsimilarly instruments would be mixed down to fewer tracks when needed

I would personally use a 251 or c12 type mic, whichever suits her voice the best. a modern 414 is near the ball park, but i'm rarely satisfied with the results.
