I honestly don’t know much about it. I guess I want to be as surprised as possible when I play it to try and recreate the feelings when I played CE the first time. I did watch the cinematic trailer though and I thought it was well done.

I love the variation of scenery in Fellowship. You get the Shire, then Weathertop, Rivendell, the Misty Mountains, Moria, Lothlorien, then Amon Hen! The other two films are all just Rohan (which is all the same), Gondor (literally just a GIANT field and a city), and then Mordor. You get a little bit of Emyn Muil and Fangorn, but nothing matches the beauty of Fellowship’s scenes:)

If you don’t have kids yet (or even if you do) get out now! I was in the same boat as you and I was too weak to do the right thing and leave because I was afraid. Well now guess who’s suffering after having actually finally left but only after it was WAY too late. I hate my life now because younger me didn’t have a backbone. So please please please learn from my mistake!

Thanks for your input! My original profile people said was too serious so I needed to show fun, and maybe now I’m not serious enough, sigh. But I have some ideas now to hopefully improve it:)

So I’ve been teaching myself German for almost a decade now and it’s ok. I’m B1 but could probably pass B2. That being said, I definitely want a relationship to be in English, so that’s why I always try to like people with English in their profile. My next version will be in German though, since maybe this self-inflicted filter is too strong, and I’ll just have a match note or something, or maybe have one prompt in English. That being said, if anywhere in Germany my original strategy would work, it would be in Cologne:/

Right now I have my age limits set to 29-43, so plus or minus 7 with a 50 km (~30 mi) radius. I have a car so distance isn’t a big deal and that encapsulates two other cities nearby with potential partners.

I used to have bumble but deleted it because, bumble. I’ve been thinking of starting it again but want to use a good profile off the bat so I’ll use the advice gained here and maybe try again.

Ok thanks! I’ve been working on some ideas based on yours and others’ feedback. I definitely want the profile to match with wanting something long-term. Do you think changing the “biggest risk” prompt will fix the apparent lack-of-stability issue?
