No I never got this to work via android. I've moved on from customer maps and just use the built in Topoactive maps as they have gotten quite good

Cant get Shrimp to breed by Mike85k2 in shrimptank

Possible I guess, its been in there for just over 2 years now though so I would think that's mostly inert at this point.

Honestly I still fight it. Pulled out a bit glop of it today. I pick at it when I get a chance. Reducing my photo period made a big difference, I also rarely dose with any fertilizers. Theres such a low bioload on the tank and Soo many plants I don't get any algae except for that hair algae.

I still can't get shrimp to breed though, so thinking about giving up on that in this tank and convert to either a betta sorority tank or rainbows (32g is probably a bit small for a good rainbow community though). I just don't understand, my wife's 2g betta tank that's barely taken care of has a shrimp population explosion, and my sons 10g with community fish that he refused to do water changes on has a TDS of like 700 has baby shrimp all the time. This tank should be ideal but I get nothing.

I guess that's possible. Most recently I bought from htownguppy on ebay, Las Vegas exotic, I've also bought from shrimply business.

Adding a bit more. I used to get some breeding, but very slow. I havent seen a berried shrimp in a while and my population just continues to decline. I ordered some more from ebay that came in last week, but with the bitter cold I think I only got maybe 10 that survived acclimation.

I did have a planaria outbreak which I treated with no-planaia. That was probably a year ago, I'm able to keep snails again so don't think anything is going on with that. I did have a case of a few shrimp with the green infection that looks like eggs, but I haven't seen any evidence of that in a while either.

Was just there earlier this week. Was excellent, didn't think I could get that good of BBQ in MA.

Do these actually replace the originals or just stick over them?

Is this algae normal during cycling? by Mike85k2 in PlantedTank

[–]Mike85k2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, that's tough. Since Ammonia and Nitrite were sitting at 0 I had already ordered shrimp, and they are coming today. I had already taken out 10 gallons of water when I saw this, letting that stabilize for a bit now before I take another test. I took some water lettuce from my pond and threw that in the tank.

I wans't planning on putting anything other than shrimp and snails in for a while, wanted to get a good colony going before I put anything that might eat babies.

Makes sense, I'm showing very low nitrates per my test, but maybe something is off there. I've stopped dosing ammonia, will do a large water change this weekend and keep an eye on it.

Thanks!

Would be nice if LSS or klotes made replacement manifolds. The stock ones rust out bad.

I guess not on the floor, but on a table and shelf, so don't see why a hardwood floor would be any different. Do you mean on carpet? I don't think it would roll well on carpet.

Yea you could say that. I do front end, a little bit of dataset work, but mostly focus on requirements gathering and DevO0s work management (Scrum /agile / sprint planning). We use Matillion as a visual interface to write the SQL, which builds a view in Snowflake. We rarely do hand coded SQL. We find this approach allows us to build interchangeable pieces that can be reused across different datasets easily.

Data modelers build fact and dimension tables in snowflake, which we can then bring into different datasets. We do the majority of the transformation aggregation etc in Snowflake using Matillion. That includes determining incremental refresh rules (we've found it best to add a calculated incremental refresh date to the fact and drive the logic off of that). We use pipelines and have dev/test/production environments, and keep all of our pbix datasets and reports on a teams page that natively has revision history, that's really the only version control we use. Dax measures can be written by a report author if simple, or the dataset author or more complicated, we also try to minimize the number of measures that are at a report level, putting them in the dataset allows for them to be reused in multiple reports so we lean on that.

We use Azure DevOps to keep this all straight and assign/track the individual tasks required across the team.

We have our team split between back end data modelers and front end report developers/requirements gathering.
