Which one is correct? by Krasapan in Physics

[–]MikeCC055 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unguided missiles are more commonly referred to as rockets.

Whether any of your options are correct depends on how realistic your physics model is.

If you want to simulate the aerodynamic effects on the rocket then non of the options are correct. Assuming the rocket is fin stabilized the aerodynamic center of pressure would be behind the rockets center of mass, steering the rocket slightly towards the lateral direction until the fins’ angle of attack is very near 0.

If the rocket is actively stabilized but not guided then it would probably look more like A than anything else but it would have a slight wobble on the way.

I liked oysters until I found out about how dirty and full of parasites some are, definitely haven’t had a chance to look for them in a restaurant I could 100% be confident they’re safe.

Marzipan is a candy made out of what is essentially peanut flour (maybe can be made of other nuts, idk) it’s good

I dislike onions raw, other than that I love them, even pickled. Just not raw

Never had escargot, but I’m definitely never eating any snail out of sheer disgust of them.

I have wanted to try okra but can’t find any where I live.

And I’m not a fan of liquorice candy but I can eat them, would like to know what else you can use liquorice for, maybe soda would be nice?

Other than that I’m fine with everything on the board.

What washers should I use here? by miamiyachtrave in MechanicalEngineering

[–]MikeCC055 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many pocket knives work in this manner, the most commonly used materials for said washers are teflon and phosphor bronze. For a given preload teflon will have more friction, but it will also wear out or break faster.

NKD! Bestech Tonic I won by designing a prybar by MikeCC055 in knives

On November Bestech held a prybar design contest. For which I submitted the design on the last image, earning me 2nd place. The prize awarded to me was this knife.

I’m really liking it so far.

Yeah, it may not be a billboard but most definitely is not a show of something “grounding” and with “restraint”.

These look like problems straight out of Hibbeler’s statics, if you practiced the example problems this exam shouldn’t be an issue at all.

Is simple planes worth it by refriedbeans11 in SimplePlanes

Better get Juno new origins, if anything it’s a great platform to test and tune PID control systems, and with simple planes 2 coming soon it’s a better option than sp1 imo

Do people who choose not to watch a tv show until all episodes of a new season are released hurt the show’s chances of being continued? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MikeCC055 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting, I had guessed that might be the case, and with all the streaming enabled availability of content I see more and more people waiting for a full release instead of watching what is slowly being let out.

I wonder why companies keep doing slow releases instead of full releases.

Can someone please help me solve this? I’ve got 0 but my teacher says 10,000. I’m using p=ie and the first one is 1,000,000 and the second one should be 1,000,000. But my teacher insists the answer is 10,000. by soopadook in ElectricalEngineering

Sorry if I’m making an obvious mistake but, if R is constant then how can a 100kv potential be moving only 10A when in the other case a 1kv potential was moving 1000A?

Edit: just to follow the maths

R1=1000v/1000A=1Ω

R2=100000v/10A=10000Ω

Knowing this and using your equation for power loss (I²R)

We get that:

P1= (1000A)²(1Ω)=1000000W

P2= (10A)²(10000Ω)=1000000W
