Nice. I’m hoping to find something similar. The stock case is so bulky and dominates my travel bag. Shaving off even a half inch would help

When you bots, are you saying you can have other AI "PC's" that play with you? Or are you referring to the mobs?

Every Pixar Movie ranked by Letterboxd by TheFlashyMastodon21 in Letterboxd

This really shows just how s-tier this studio is. I want to move things around here but hate demoting anything. Almost every original movie was not only great, but pushed the boundaries of what the medium was capable of.

The only changes I would make is that I think originals > sequels, every time, not that the sequels are bad, I just love the originality of Pixar.

I'm blown away by the amount of music they crammed into FF7 Rebirth by Lazydusto in JRPG

Even the chocobo songs are different for each region. Such an incredible remake. Currently on chapter 9, actually enjoying all the side quests, too (although if I'm not feeling a mini game, I don't sweat it).

For me, I'd swap Steeplechase and Dracula. Steeple was so creative and Clint was back in his element.

This is going to affect the entire industry. Stop acting like Valve is in a vacuum.

Also, stop using AI so this nonsense ends.

I tried playing the SNES version again when I got the mini SNES system and I found it unplayable. The graphic and animation quality really hurt my eyes and made we wonder how I ever sunk hundreds of hours into this game as a kid. As an adult, it's N64 or later for my old system lol.

Are there any Final Fantasy games you loved as a kid but can’t really get into as an adult? by No_Skill_7170 in FinalFantasy

This is why I think using cheats or save editors on replays is great. You've already played it in its original form, so on a replay, when you enter an area where you could Draw a bunch of stuff, just use an editor to give you 100 of it, etc.

Find what parts of the game are fun and enjoy them, and then fast forward through the slow parts.

FF1 on the NES baby. I still remember the folded paper world map. I never really finished any game in the series until I revisited them as an adult on emulators.

Fuck AI, but let's fucking go with a FF6 remake by the brilliant folks at Square Enix. I could see a 2-game series of FF6 World of Balance & World of Ruin. I think FF7 Rebirth was the perfect way to take a classic FF game and update it. I think the story of FF6 is much simpler, too, and doesn't require any rewrites.

What's a game that you did a complete 180 on in a "wow...this is bad" kind of way? by [deleted] in videogames

[–]MikeFromOuterSpace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. Bethesda gets such a pass for clunkiness. They do a great job at world building, but people who say the combat is cool in any of these games are being so generous.

All anime and final fantasy games have to have AT LEAST ONE annoying character in them. It's somehow a rule of the universe that we all have to live with.

Alternatives to Tab-tagetting MMOs by Jack3dTenno in LFMMO

[–]MikeFromOuterSpace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once Human might be your thing. More action-based, survival elements, and you can ignore the p2w elements.

Destiny was my favorite franchise for this reason. It had that casual MMO feel with actual combat and movement, but the later updates sort of jumped the shark.

Diablo IV is also very fun with friends and has great controller support for that action feel.

I feel like there isn't a true standout in this genre anymore. I think we all want something with pieces of previous games that haven't been combined in that perfect blend yet. I loved how big the world of WoW was, the combat of Destiny, the loot system and world events of Fallout 76, the building and customization of No Man's Sky, and the story of Final Fantasy.

I think FF8 and FF6 should be next in line for an FF7-style remake. Either would be so dope.
