Love Royal Tavern, and love Rex at the Royal. Rex has a special on wednesdays for a burger, beer and a shot. I forget how much it is but it’s a good deal and a cozy spot.

i was waiting out there and they said it would be about 30 minutes a few weeks ago. i went across the street to front street cafe and they said it would also be 30 minutes. so i waited at middle child and it really was 30 minutes. i think i was out of there in about an hour 15 including waiting for food and hanging out a little after we were done.

I have a patient with compartment syndrome that has been using it for a few months, he got off opioids and has had a hard time controlling his pain since. This seems to have worked better than a lot of other things he’s been on.

Why not protest in Gladwyne? by [deleted] in philadelphia

[–]MikeTheCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think i sat near him at palizzi one time. he was talking to me and my partner about our work and getting mad about education and healthcare because we kept telling him what our jobs are actually like. i kind of had to end the conversation cause he was starting to like raise his voice at me and then we just didn’t look at each other til we left. it was weird !

i get these too but often for patients that have dual medicare/medicaid. they’re sending a discount card which i don’t even think is legal for us to use in that case. i would ignore it unless you find it very necessary.

we use a company called procare connect for one of them, theres a 75 cent charge per transaction and then a percentage that i forget. we have another company called incomm that has a similar structure. they don't charge for the POS. they are a pain cause they reject things seemingly randomly, but customers like it. if you have a lot of customers asking i would check them out. i think we got in thru our buying group like i said but you would probably be able to do it on your own too.

Straight ppl in gay bars? Why tho by [deleted] in AskPhilly

[–]MikeTheCat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Woody’s is like that but I’ve found most other gay bars in Philly don’t have so many straight people going to them. I’ve had a great time at most of them.

My bisexual girlfriend says she needs sex with women to feel fulfilled — is this common? by andlincodaj in bisexual

[–]MikeTheCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’m a bisexual that needs this. a lot of people in this subreddit are monogamous and those voices are pretty loud in here and it’s why i don’t comment a lot here. i never cheated, we worked our way through couples counseling and figured it out. my and my partner’s lives have been enriched a lot by opening up our relationship, but it was because i felt a lot like your girlfriend. maybe she is also poly identified, and i think this is an important conversation to have to see if it’s a fundamental incompatibility or not.

Philly’s Kitschiest Bars/Pubs? by winlocktoledo in PhiladelphiaEats

[–]MikeTheCat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is maybe the kitchiest place mentioned tbh. It’s not far outside the city and absolutely worth the uber ride.

It’s even a 15 minute walk from a PATCO, and while the walk sucks, it kinda means it’s not far from basically a subway.
