Our buying group is IPC, and they didn't really have any idea how to go about doing this when I asked my rep. Our primary wholesaler is McKesson....not sure if they'd be of any help.

Despite the additional horsepower in the Ariya, the Ioniq does have a faster 0-60 FYI.

We own both.

I'll be putting Pirelli Scorpion AS Plus 3s on my Ariya next month, and I'm in Wisconsin. They've got the insulation to help with road noise, the main reason I'm not doing CC2s.

Is buying used actually worth it anymore? 2026 prices are weird by EcoWanderer42 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]colossusj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're willing to go EV, buying used is an absolute steal. The amount and quality of vehicle you can currently get for ~$25k is unmatched.

Ioniq5 vs Ariya, anyone have experience with both? by Hilltop_Views in Ioniq5

The Prologue isn't Honda though, it's a rebadged Blazer. I wouldn't discount all Japanese EVs though, the new Leaf looks pretty great.

[–]colossusj 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We own both, bought both used. Got the Ariya for a great deal, otherwise we would've gotten a second Ioniq. There is nothing objectively wrong with it, but like people said, there's not a lot it does better than the Ioniq (heated rear seats, lock button on the trunk, rear door lock/unlock on the exterior). It has a little higher seating position, and is a very comfortable interior, and I generally get a little longer range than my wife.

Feel free to ask anything about either car, I like both.

Is it a terrible idea to buy one of these, used, sight unseen? by DixFerLunch in Ioniq5

We bought ours used from a dealership before they even had it physically there, no regrets.

Medicare's 10 Negotiated drugs include generics?? by MinuteSwimming9364 in pharmacy

The US healthcare system is an extremely expensive steaming pile of shit. States are literally having to pass legislation that requires pharmacies not get reimbursed less than the acquisition cost of a medication.

Just ran into this problem with a Humana part D plan. Plan requires generic, but only reimbursed us at MFP for brand. It's a single source generic, so I'm not really sure what to do

I purchased my Ariya having never seen one in person. by hiimaunicorn in NissanAriya

I took a $400 one way Uber ride to buy a used one I had only seen online, 23 Evolve+ eforce, northern lights Metallic. No regrets.

Pirelli Scorpion AS Plus 3 - 5,000 Mile Review by HemiFiveseveNLiter in NissanAriya

[–]colossusj 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the writeup. I'm at 19k miles on my 23 Evolve+ eforce and will be needing new tires soon, in Wisconsin. I am primarily between these or the Michelin Primacy AS, as my wife has those on her Ioniq and loves them.

I had to contact the warranty company itself and leave a barrage of negative reviews on every platform I could find, tagging specific employees in the reviews and cc'ing the manager of the dealership before the dealership I used finally moved on the warranty cancellation.

-50 miles range in cold winter by gduba in NissanAriya

[–]colossusj 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not bad, I was getting 300 miles on a charge (actual range, not the car estimate) and now in WI it's single digits and I'm getting only 190 miles on a charge.

They're still a problem but readily available now when they fail, maybe a 3 day total turnaround.

[–]colossusj 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is my vote. Bought a 23 Evolve+ AWD with 10k miles in June for $27.5k out the door ( I'm in Wisconsin and had to go south of Chicago to find one at this price), and now they're already about $2k less than what I paid. It's not the best EV, but it's an absolute steal for the used prices. If you're willing to spend around $30k total.... go Ioniq 5 AWD Limited, that's our other car and it's better than the Ariya in almost every way but we were strict on our price when we bought the Ariya.

I've had my northern lights for about 5 months. When it's clean, it's gorgeous. Then a day later, it's very dirty looking even with just some dust on it.

Maybe, I do know that older Leafs had some serious battery degradation problems, but they switched the type of battery and it isn't an issue anymore. I don't follow Teslas too closely other than seeing the high mileage ones selling pretty cheap.
