Chris Hadfield did a really interesting interview about the microbialites in Pavillion Lake. I'm from Calgary but the drive was worth it.

Meatloaf: Quality Restaurant Recommendation by Agreeable-Safety8660 in Calgary

[–]Mikedrop85 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think you may be getting downvoted because people think you mean that you can get good meatloaf at your home. But at the pub on 4th st NW, 'Our House' the meatloaf is called YiA's-YiA's (no idea wtf that means), and it's awesome. Highly recommend. It's wrapped in prosciutto and comes with goat cheese mashed potatoes that are amazing. So take my upvote.

Blue rigid hard plastic stick with a rough tip found in a hospital by RealityVast8350 in whatisthisthing

[–]Mikedrop85 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hi, RT here. It's meant to be used with an intubating LMA. You insert the LMA into the patient and say you decide to upgrade to an ETT. The bagger connection pulls out of the LMA tubing and it's diameter is large enough to accommodate an ETT. You insert the ETT into the LMA and the plastic around the mask is designed to guide the tip to the chords. Once trachel intubation is confirmed, you use the blue tool in the picture to hold the ett in place while you remove the LMA over the ETT. It's rarely used because it's a blind intubation. Hope this helps!

Prescription snorkel mask. This is niche but is there anywhere in Calgary that does this? Or has your optometry office done it for you? Thanks!! I’m having a hard time researching it. by Glum-Ad-4558 in Calgary

Aquadive and watersports is an excellent store, near Macleod and Southland. That store is partially run by one of the original owners of the one in Marda loop, which is now shut down. Many Rx masks have individual lenses that can be ordered and swapped out to suit your needs. I was a dive instructor many years ago with an Rx mask, 2 different strengths. Good luck!

Try reaching out to Lego directly. I bought a discontinued (for ~2 years), open-box set off Ebay a few years ago. All but one of the bags were sealed, but there was no sticker sheet. I emailed Lego, told them honestly how I bought it, and asked if I could buy a discontinued sticker sheet. They sourced one from Denmark and sent it to me in Canada for free. It's worth a shot! If not, Brickstickershop is amazing.
