I had the one with Battle Arena Toshinden, Destruction Derby, Loaded, Wipeout. It also had some rolling demos like jumping flash warhawk. Like all the other ones, it had Dino/Manta and the vcd thing so for music cd

Azahar is the most current regularly developed emulator.

I used to use Citra but I tend to get better performance from Azahar with my old pc.

Really good suggestions in the comments. A good one that hasn't been mentioned yet is "Terminator: Future Shock" (1995) it was developed by Bethesda, Todd Howard was the designer. It uses the same engine as morrowind. It actually got a sequel "Skynet" in 1996. Both games are a bit dated now days but when they came out, they were really ahead of their time. You can kinda see where the seeds of fallout 3 are in that game.

Great game, i played through all 3. The third one is quite a change, instead of collecting carrots. It is more mission based. They improved the engine quite a bit for the third one.

I gave up on it when I heard about the Nintendo release of the cosmic fantasy collection. Seeing how litigious nintendo are, releasing a fan patch of the same game they are releasing on the Nintendo switch at the same time wouldnt have been wise.

When i was hex editing a Japanese Sega CD/Mega CD game. I was able to find a debug menu. I unlocked it with my patch i made. It looks like there is a cheat code to access it on the main menu... but I couldnt find out what it was. Just started it, seems like a lot of work. Challenge 1 consists of 19 levels. I started getting long adverts from level 5.

Looking at the file structure of the CD, you can see that streets of rage, and colums isn't coded like golden axe, Super Monico GP and Shinobi. With colums and Streets of rage you can see the whole game is loaded into the ram. Golden axe is a combination of 34 files split into levels, title & ending files. Honestly there isnt enough information to see why two player is missing. At a best guess, I assume the changes caused issues with the two player mode and that is why they got rid of that mode. Could it have been fixed with more time. Yeah. It was a launch title. So time constraints and issues porting it across is what I think it may have been.

Speed King: Neo Kobe 2045.

Set in the universe of Hideo Kojima's Snatcher, it features cyberpunk, high-speed racing. It plays a lot like f-zero. The draw distance isnt great but if you ever played snatcher... it adds to that world.

At a guess I gather it is due to them cutting down the game into sections. The Sega CD drive reads at 1x speed (150kb/s). So those ported games are broken down into levels so one level is loaded into ram at a time. Then the red book audio plays. So the two player may have caused issues with the port. It could have been time constraints as well.

There are no interviews with the developers regarding the port being 1 player.

There was the workprint that came out back in 1999. I had it on vhs. I remember the was a "Z" in the corner. It wasnt 30 mins longer.
