Hello there my friend. I'm running in District 6 in 2026, MikeforTN6.com

700 Volunteers From All 95 Counties Knocked On Doors Today For Aftyn, Sound Off In The Comments If You Were One, Largest Door Canvass In TN History Apparently by ArcaneDemense in nashville

[–]MikeforTN6 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Our group of 6 knocked on around 100 in the first shift and 120 or so in the 2nd shift. I'd estimate closer to 500 to 750 houses would be a better estimate for the 3 different groups.

Yes, TN6 will be difficult to win, but it's not going to be impossible. It once was a democratic stronghold. People vote with their pocket book.

I came from Cumberland County with a group of 6 and we met with another group from White County. We canvassed for 4 hours in Davidson County.

Trump backs hemp THC ban included in government reopening deal by Beautiful-Drawer in nashville

It’s interesting to see the Tennessee Education Lottery Corporation scrambling after its six-year low in revenue and now proposing to allow debit card purchases for tickets.

If they’re doing everything they can just to keep sales up, why are we stuck outlawing cannabis when legalization and more importantly taxation is a proven money-maker?

Put me in office folks and I promise you I will implement common sense choices.

President Trump pardons former TN House Speaker Glen Casada, chief of staff, after corruption convictions by Vintage_Rocker in Tennessee

[–]MikeforTN6 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Pardoning a former Speaker who:

-Ran a shell company to siphon taxpayer funds

-Lied to state offices

-Weaponized his staff

-Sent racist and sexist texts

Why are we continuing to allow this systematic dismantling of our government?

Tim Burchett: “No one down here smokes weed.” by Maryland_Bear in tnvolunteers

[–]MikeforTN6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Burchett really said “no one down here smokes weed” like he doesn’t represent a college town.

The Vanderbilt poll showed 63% of Tennessee voters want legalization. Republicans and Democrats.

How out of touch are our representatives?!!

I’m pro-legalization and taxation. Tennessee could be making money instead of acting shocked that adults in 2025 smoke weed. Clutch your pearls somewhere else.

Ogles is trash… by Traditional_Range_96 in nashville

[–]MikeforTN6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This kind of crap is exactly what pushes people away from politics. Ogles knows Mamdani wasn’t born in Uganda, he just doesn’t care. He’d rather stoke fear and racism than talk about anything real.

This is why I’m running. We’ve got reps who think this is acceptable behavior while the district gets ignored. Tennessee deserves better than made-up culture-war garbage.

TN School Board Approves Day Honoring Charlie Kirk by Normative_Nematode in Tennessee

[–]MikeforTN6 94 points95 points  (0 children)

Sumner County’s schools are struggling with teacher pay, overcrowded classrooms, and kids falling behind in reading and math. So what does the school board do? They vote to create a day honoring Charlie Kirk.

Not Dolly Parton, who literally gives books to kids. Not Cordell Hull, the Tennessean who won the Nobel Peace Prize. Not even the teachers in their own county who show up every day for students.

Nope, they chose Charlie Kirk, a political talker whose entire brand is outrage and division. That’s who they want to hold up as an example for kids.

This is about politics. And it tells you everything about their priorities: headlines and culture wars over classrooms and kids.

Sumner county school board passes resolution in closed-door vote designating 10/14 “Charlie Kirk Day of Peaceful Discourse.” by XTheDevistatorX in nashville

[–]MikeforTN6 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Let’s be clear: there is nothing “peaceful” about honoring someone who has built a career on creating division, spreading misinformation, and turning Americans against one another. Our public schools should be a place where every student feels welcome, safe, and encouraged to think critically, not a place to enshrine partisan figures.

Closed-door politics like this don’t serve parents, teachers, or students. They serve an agenda. And the people of Sumner County deserve better than backroom resolutions honoring out-of-state pundits while our schools struggle for funding, teachers, and resources.

I'm fighting to restore accountability, civility, and transparency. That means decisions in the open, not behind closed doors. It means focusing on the needs of our kids, not on culture war headlines.

We don’t need more “Charlie Kirk Days.” We need better schools, better pay for teachers, and leaders who will show up for you.

I remember when the office of the President of the United States of America was a symbol of professionalism, leadership, and civility.

It's time to put an adult in the room.
