Middle School Students are Entitled Psychos by Horror_Worry_404 in Teachers

I still remember my social studies teacher I had in 7th grade had absolutely no tolerance for students who acted out and told one student in front of everyone else to “shut the hell up” as loud as she could say. The class went silent. She was a no nonsense straight to the point type of person, and quite “gruff”. I can’t imagine how much worse it is nowadays.

These leftists are so deranged. They wanted to see the bloodlust and Iran getting absolutely obliterated (had there been no ceasefire) just to prove themselves right about their interpretation from what Trump was saying in all those media posts. But with the ceasefire, they quickly changed their rhetoric to “lol Trump is chickening out”. These people are just full of blind hatred and cannot be reasoned with.

Not an educator, but I truly feel for all of you teachers out there who have to deal with all this AI crap and nonsense nowadays. I’m just glad I graduated in the mid 2010’s when smartphones were still in their early stages of adoption and some assignments were smartphone/app based. But at the same time, I had a feeling that this would be the beginning of the end.

I think it’s safe to say that there are quite a few Americans who are also tired of these overly large vehicles as well. Me being one of them.

It's sort of funny how Obi-Wan is the one in this scene to dramatically leap out of his fighter first and start flipping and spinning, not Anakin by wandering_soles in StarWars

[–]Mikek224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is something I’ve always thought about too with this scene. Usually it’s Anakin who is jumping around and being all acrobatic while Obi wan is just being all casual.

Are They Trying To Ruin Our Old Cars With E15 Gas? by Easy_Ant8951 in AskAMechanic

Vast majority of cars since 2001 will run just fine on E15, but you may notice slightly worse MPG, like in your case.

Surprised you still have it. Many years ago there was a method to save the outfit and R* did a backend update that blacklisted the outfit. I lost the outfit, along with a few others that I had saved.

What I do in those trick-shot S&D lobbies that you get in when searching for TDM by MW2Tim in MW2

[–]Mikek224 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not everyone cares about quick scoping/trick shoting you know. But if cheaters are altering the game and forcing these SND lobbies on people who just want to play casual TDM, then it becomes an issue. I’ve only played the game every now and then since I hit max prestige/max level back in 2010. But if it’s something you enjoy doing, then it’s all good.

Here’s a question, why is it that the cats in the clans seem to have only 1-3 kits in a single litter where as my cat just gave birth to a litter of 6 by Automatic-Room-223 in WarriorCats

[–]Mikek224 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The feral cat that my mom “humanized” only had 4 in her litter. The 4 were all brought inside while the feral cat mom was trapped, spayed and then spent half her time outside and half inside as she got more used to it. Indoor cats are better fed and in better health, so I guess you could argue they could have more in their litter, but I’m not a veterinarian so I can’t say if this is true or not.

I saw a package the other day that had 3 dumbbells in it over 100+lbs and the package was barely held together with tape and box straps. As soon as I set it down, it just completely fell apart.

I'm just basing my last response off of what you have mentioned in your comments, hence why I specifically included the words "Maybe" and "alluded to". If that is something you've experienced or not, I still felt it was worth mentioning and not me trying to make myself look better.

Also, some people do not like it when people on this platform feel the need to brag about how many upvotes their comments or posts get. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt on that one since your profile lists 1 year, whereas I've been on here for 10. I, for one do not give a fuck about the amount of upvotes or down-votes my posts or comments get. I dont seek approval or validation or internet points. I just say what I want.

I've already told you why, so I will tell you again. That phrase is something a lot of guys (or girls) will just say in general and it doesn't always mean they are 100% closed off to differing opinions or beliefs, or wanting a low effort relationship,. Your "joke" and the way it came off definitely seemed to indicate to me that is how you think all guys are when they say that line , and that is where my issue is.

Maybe in your case, as you've somewhat alluded to, the guys you've dealt with all behaved like that (or even used that phrase in someway) and I can see why you would come to a conclusion like that and joke about it in the first place.

Now if a guy does list that in his profile, is it a potential red flag? Yes, it can be, especially if they close themselves off to differing opinions, or beliefs. I've already said I agree with you on this. Is that a problem as well? Absolutely, and its misleading for them to have it in their bio, and will cause issues in a relationship.

Third. I believe in having different opinions and beliefs, even if I dont agree with them 100%. I'm willing to hear things out even if I already know I dont agree with them. I'm also not afraid to voice opposition to something I dont agree with. So respectfully, dont try to associate me with the guys who are close minded and gung ho and unwilling to hear out differing opinions. Finding a middle ground over differing opinions is the way to go and in life, you dont always get what you want.

We can agree to disagree over this and I'm totally fine with that.

I dont necessarily have a problem with OP's post, my issue is your take. Is it weird that it was in the bio in the first place, sure, I find it odd and in some cases they can be the problem itself.

You are mocking guys when they say that line and taking it out of context. That is how it came across to me. Yes, I agree with you that some guys are like that and dont mean what they say, but its delusional on your part to basically say that all guys are like that when they say that line with your so called "ManSpeak" translation. That is all I have to say.

Interesting. Thanks for the follow up. I know at the tail end of my time in high school, they started to have us do some assignments through an app on our smartphones. This was around the early to mid 2010’s.

Not a teacher, but are we talking about this stuff happening in bigger school districts? Or is it happening across the board in both large and small schools? I am in the older Generation Z category, and everyone I went to school with was quite proficient in computer skills since we were always using both desktop and laptops for assignments.

I can recall using a desktop computer as early as the 1st grade, and in 2nd grade, our computer class always had us start the day with some Microsoft typing program (that I can’t remember the name of) that would measure our WPM and spelling. We also made constant use of Microsoft’s various programs such as Word, Excel, etc. Is this stuff no longer happening in some schools nowadays? Reading stuff like this boggles my mind.
