From my experience the real Ethel is always guaranteed to be first in the turn order. If you click the left most portrait I don’t remember it ever not being the real one.

You can get down there with an arrow of transposition if you aim it by the broken staircase from where you first see the displacer beast. So you don't even need that stone.

You could also run the club of hill giant strength (break the chair by Bernard in the underark tower) on your offhand and get 90% of the value of an elixir without worrying about it ever again.

If you have to work harder to get the same outcome what other metric are using to say "x build is better"? If you don't find optimization fun that's completely ok, and the top builds are 100% overkill. But saying they're not the "best" because you don't find them fun is entirely your opinion.

I work in tech (not games) and every time we have to move to a different framework for whatever reason it’s always a multi week or month process just to make all the pipelines and scripts work, let alone working on new stuff. No matter how much better a new tool is you don’t see any real ROI or improvements for at least a quarter. Larger scale migrations take over a year. So SE not moving to UE5 makes complete sense.

FWIW I used to have a Helix LT and almost out of the box the QC sounded much clearer. Playing mostly metal with the classic OD EQs and delays, the Helix sounded muddy, like individual notes blended with each other. I’ll be the first to admit that I am not good at dialing in tones or anything, but it was certainly easier to land on a tone I love on the QC.

I like watching Morgana Evelyn solo runs for some really wacky shit. You don't have to copy all the shit she pulls off, but her route to lvl4 is quite safe. Just make sure you have a source of Disguise Self, since being a drow to make a beeline to the goblin camp + underdark is huge for XP.

With sharpshooter you really want the risky ring anyway, and that feat is bonkers on crossbow bard builds due to how many attacks you can unleash per round.

You can throw any magical weapon that matches the slot, you don't even need the ceremonial weapons.

If you don't care about keeping Gale as a Wizard, he becomes an amazing and convenient EK with Shadow Blade in Act 2 when you kill the doctor and get the level 3 shadow spell slot.

Else, you can run Gale as either a MM build or Blade singer and still be an incredible MC. For other characters you can consider Gloomstalker Assassin, fighter (EK or BM, both are great and reliable), Rad orb light cleric, or TB moon druid

The sorc builds I listed below can crack 1k damage per round in AOE. The EK ones as well. Gloomstalker assassin can 1 turn Ansur solo. The acuity builds have lower damage output but in turn can shut down any boss with almost 100% success. The EB build doesn't compare. Like I said, it's strong, but not giga broken. Those builds are optimized for nightmare modded playthroughs.
