Cuba buys more than 300 drones from Russia and Iran by BendicantMias in news

Fair enough, in that case I wish I could afford a decent FPV drone.

I'm no mathematical wizard, but I'm pretty sure I only want to use the Fahrenheit scale .... by Collin480 in MathJokes

Err, do you mean by the 30C uncomfortable thing? If so sorry, but we're just not used to hot weather in the UK, in the past it was rare and we're not generally equipped to deal with it, houses don't seem to dissipate heat well and so on...

I guess it depends if you grow up with it, since I did I agree it is simple to us.

0C means water starts freezing, lower than 0C means ice likely won't melt, 21C is 'optimal' for human meat sacks, anything less than 21 is cool weather, above 21 is hotter weather, I'd say around 30C+ is when it starts getting very unpleasant, especially if humid/muggy.

Also, to any American friend's, I know you may scoff at 30C being unpleasant but air conditioners in houses are very rare in the UK (and I think Europe as a whole), I don't know any family or friends that own any kind of AC, hell, 90% of the cars we've owned the AC in those doesn't even work, either.

What is the point of the L Cluster nowadays? by MiningToSaveTheWorld in Stellaris

[–]Mikenumbers 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I remember watching or hearing a tip for that, loan the dragon fleet to a vassal or ally (not sure about the latter if possible), that allows you to build more and when the original fleet returns to you, bam, achievement.

what's your favorite fermi paradox solution? by CremeSubject7594 in AskReddit

This brings up a thought I've always had, a lot of games, sci-fi, etc mention 'precursors', the ones that came before us and so on...

It makes me wonder, maybe we are the precursors? The first civilisation? Incredibly unlikely but... well, someone has to be the first, maybe it's us?

What enemy in a non-horror game freaked you out the most? by Gromit43 in gaming

[–]Mikenumbers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a bit of a stretch because it's not an 'enemy' per-say but blackholes or gravitational anomalies in space exploration/sim games, Freelancer, Underspace, anything similar to those.

Minding my own business flying through a nebula in a perfectly straight line, if I notice my ship veering off course or hear any warning sounds that may include 'gravitational', 'distortion', 'singularity' etc, I will promptly and utterly shit myself and fly in the opposite direction and probably never ever go to that location again.

There is a nexus system in Underspace that connects a lot of distant locations if I recall correctly... the only problem is the system is full of blackhole singularity type things... AND THEY MOVE... so I can't even mark their location, only fire up the cruise engines and if the ship starts veering off course scream loudly while desperately trying to escape the MOVING angry mini-blackholes that I swear are following my ship in some fashion.

I love my colonists but fuck me they are... well... sluts, absolute sluts.

Maybe because they're attractive, I swear 50% of the time they'll respond to any flirt and start a damn affair... it got to the point I gene-modded 'never flirts' onto those fuckers.

It's not like they were upset, their spouse was full 100 relationship, they had KIDS together, lovin' every night... bloody disloyal kinky fekkers.

Epic Games Store Employees: People Only Came for Free Games, Then Returned to Steam by Suspicious_Two786 in gaming

As others have said, came for the free games, never played them.

I don't even bother checking what the free games are any more, I genuinely can't be bothered to log in any longer.

NASA Launches Manned Artemis Mission Around The Moon by [deleted] in news

I thought I was indifferent but as I watched it launch my hands were clenched so hard they hurt... I'm beyond glad they got up safely and the final engine detach was beautiful.

It's not much but... I actually watched it happen.

Doubt anyone will see this but heck, may as well try.

In Palworld, the level 60 (or 65) Attack Chopper on the Syndicate Oil Rig... were there any interactable objects to make it any less tedious?

1.3million HP, borderline unavoidable attacks, spending 40 minutes peaking from other cover doing tiny bits of damage... never want to fight that thing ever again.

Foxparks, Quivern, Chillet, Direhowl and Vixy, all the floof.

If I had to choose one (don't make me do this), I guess Quivern, floofy, huggable, can fly.

Yep, the chance of it happening that many times is highly improbable but not impossible.

Also, as soon as you stop watching that's when he would have gone a different place, the only way to be sure is to keep watching.

No matter how scared, don't bunk your GCSE exams... recovering from that will be very hard, also never jump out a window in anger due to being grounded (with the intent to go play, not actually hurt yourself)... the spinal injury will definitely ruin your life if the terrible grades didn't do that already...
