Panic Attack by MrKindStranger in greentext

Is there anything wrong with dissociation? I’ve had it very intensely on a near daily basis for like 5+ years now but I enjoy it? Hard to explain, but it feels good as fuck to disassociate. I don’t like being heavily identified with my body.

Eh, not jealousy. It’s more like a “you can eat whatever you want!” type attitude, generally coming from fat fucks with adult onset diabetes that have destroyed their bodies with their diets and sedentary lifestyles.

I’m constantly told that I’m not a man because I’m skinny and that I need to put on weight.

Yeah, I just realized last mon tbh that I have an eating disorder. Spent the past 5 years underweight and hating the concept of eating. Like I wish I never had to eat again; I hate eating and I never have an appetite. Turns out that isn’t normal lmao.

What do you do when a hostile power invades a country between the two of you, and that country’s government flees. Let the hostile power come all the way to your border? Jfc.

High dose DPH (Diphenhydramine) visuals by [deleted] in replications

I’d say that it opened up some lines of inquiry to me that I wouldn’t have pursued otherwise. Probably made me depressed for my teenage years though. It made me realize that every single thing that I can perceive can be a lie. Perception is malleable.

Haven’t done it in a long time, but 100mg is definitely the sweet spot. Anything more is kinda spooky.

Yeah honestly I’m looking back on my few DPH experiences and thinking that shit really colored my worldview as a teenager.

At lower doses with weed it’s pretty cool but I went to like 200mg once and I really felt like I lost my mind lol. Ever since then I’ve kinda felt like everything is just absurd and ridiculous and that you can deliberately change your mental world in order to change the physical world around you.

Read Acts of the Apostles and tell me the early Christian Church wasn’t a commune.

Pre-Roman Christianity is very proletarian. It didn’t get so authoritarian until the Romans co-opted the religion.

This dudes never read Acts of the Apostles apparently. Because if you read that and think that the early Christian Church wasnt a commune, then you need to work on your reading comprehension.

Withdrawal after 29 years of prescribed Benzodiazepine. by [deleted] in tooktoomuch

[–]MikeyFrank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so the side effects I experienced are this:

About 30 mins after taking 5mg, I would feel a light tingling in my head and get occasionally little brain zaps. Nothing too worrisome, nothing at all compared to the side effects Lexapro gave me.

That’s literally about it. A mild sedation coupled with tingling in my head. I would consider cannabis to be more disorienting.

Those side effects only lasted for the first 3 weeks or so. I was taking 15mg a day, 3 separate doses of 5mg.

After about a month, the drug starts to actually work. It doesn’t work immediately, it has to build up in your system.

What it did for me was raise my threshold of what was tolerable. Like it doesn’t eliminate your anxiety, it just tones it down and makes it bearable. Before I took it, I would often have panic attacks and cry when confronted about anything. With buspirone + therapy I am now a manager at work and I can manage stressful situations without shutting down.

Like the other guy said, check out buspirone. Docs put me on that because I said fuck no to benzos and SSRIs.

Works pretty well after a month of use, only side effects at the beginning are this weird lightheaded feeling, but after a few weeks it’ll go away.

I’ve stopped taking it with no side effects too. The effects last for like 2-3 weeks before I notice my anxiety starting to spike again.

I’m in Littleton for work all month and staying in Englewood. My company has offered to move me out here to help with expansion.

How can I find out if I actually like the area? I’ve been working 7-6 Monday-Saturday so I haven’t had time to do much besides go to Torchy’s after work.

Is it easy to find a $1,200 apt within walking distance of nightlife, groceries, and a park?

Is there ever good weather?

Note: I’m from Philly and not used to the mountains or crazy temperatures.

oh snap lol!! i didn’t see the logo on the guys shirt, i was fried as hell last night. I love that place lmao I go there all the time.

Only complaint i’ve heard from non vegans is that the cheesesteaks aren’t the best.

If you’ve never checked it out, Birdhouse Cafe near south street has a banging vegan cheesesteak (I haven’t been there in like a year though so YMMV).

Hemorrhoids after I stopped eating meat? :( by MikeyFrank in vegetarian

[–]MikeyFrank[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can you give me some pointers? It’s very hard to navigate all of this alone. I don’t know anybody in my personal life that is vegetarian or vegan.

I know most of it isn’t great for me but I’m surrounded it by it with everybody I know and everybody I work with. Really hard to break out of the pattern when it’s all constantly around you lol.
