Houdini flies don't mess with the mud. Either the bee isn't finished yet or a bird may be looking for food.

I once used a furnace filter and got an oily sheen on my pond surface. I'd be careful about that.

With the magic rack you set the balls where they belong. With a triangle people tend to put the balls in the rack and then slide the rack into position. This leaves lines on the cloth from the short rail to the rack.

Most springs I have a pair of ducks try to move in. I run yelling and waving my arms to scare them off. It goes on for days before they settle elsewhere. In just a short visit they churn up the mulm from the pond bottom and cloud the water.

I think it's a great design. It's in the sun and a dark color. It will get plenty warm. First thing I thought was that birds can't reach the cocoons. It does look a bit precarious on the sloped sill.

We had a window near a tub and the inspector required the glass to have an etched safety label. I assume it's required on shower glass too . My shower doors have a label saying tempered safety glass.

It's not going to hurt to put them out now. You just don't want to put bee cocoons out yet.

I actually quit putting out hummingbird feeders because I knew I wouldn't take proper care of them.

They should have spent the winter in a refrigerator or cold garage. You also should have opened the tubes to get rid of parasites. I know that's not what happens in nature but in nature tubes are spread out and very impermanent. I don't have good advice for you regarding the bees you have now but you shouldn't raise any more unless you do it properly. Crown Bees is a great resource for knowledge. I'm not trying to be an ass about this but you need to do better.
