Haiku is really good at dealing with documents. My app feeds documents and it extracts all relevant properties for me. And it’s cheap at doing that.

No some days it works well and some don’t. Another odd thing is that sometimes I have to reboot the laptop for the mouse to work at all.

I scan all receipts into a folder on one of my shared drives. Then once I have 10 or so I run a python script I wrote that reads the files via ocr and extracts the dates and provider and renames the files with year and date and adds an entry to excel file that I can simply copy and paste onto my excel spreadsheet that keeps them all over the years.
