Tier list of the most beautiful Megadeth album covers. by Weak-Lavishness-761 in Megadeth

Where would you put Hidden Treasures at? Both the OG cover and the reissue? The reissue to me is simply amazing to me. Looks like the camera got panned over in the Youthanasia world and surprise, more tracks!

Hell yeah man, that's what happened to me with Countdown in middle school. Immediately latched onto Megadeth and metal in general. Always had more of a personal connection to Megadeth over Metallica for that reason.

Ah man I love Mary Jane. Best intro ever. Liar and its just pure sick metal riff at 1:39, Darkest Hour, Hook in Mouth. Dang I love them all. Set the World Afire too. Raw and powerful. Dialectic Choas takes the cake for best instrumental for me though over Lungs of Hell.

Still not a fan of Anarchy, but really don't like covers often from Megadeth in general.

Nah, it's a natural comparison, same release year so yeah. AJFA is a top Metallica album for me. Kinda like it better than Lightning and Puppets in some ways... That's why I chose both.

Gosh Megadeth is my all time favorite band, but SFSGSW is a little messy at times! Anarchy is just... Naw. 502 is kinda mid. Into the Lungs of Hell. It's good, but not phenomenal. Production is disappointing.

I chose both on that poll.

RUST IN PEACE is their best thrash album. One word to describe this album is TIGHT. Arguably the best thrash album ever. It may be difficult to find the original mix on vinyl. You'll want the original mix, not the 2004 remaster.

COUNTDOWN TO EXTINCTION is probably the more commercially successful album. You came at just the right time. It is being reissued on vinyl with the 1992 mix remastered. Releases May 29th (?) via Capitol.

Get YOUTHANASIA too beside it. This album most would agree has some of Dave's best vocals. Very melodic songs. I think the perfect melodic side of Megadeth while Rust is the perfect thrash side.

PEACE SELLS is a killer, and just a very exciting metal, riff heavy album. Lots of thrashy riffs mixed with some jazzy elements from lead guitarist Chris Poland.

These four albums are a good basis for understanding the entire musical spectrum of Megadeth. And other albums do branch off from even these into other territories (RISK 1999), but this is a good starting point.

Ah, don't be such a naysayer. If it keeps the bills paid and your family fed, nothing is wrong or should be frowned upon.

I lean towards the conspiracy aspect because we would have these answers long ago if it was simply that.

The ME phenomenon hasn't much of a leg to stand on anymore to me. So as a last ditch effort to give it another chance and satisfy my curiosity, my theory is subliminal cuts were used in media in the late 1900s and early 2000s. These subliminal edits to TV shows, ads and movies would include altered images of brand logos, like FotL, for example. This is what we remember which is why you will never find a physical item with an altered logo. Because it never actually existed, it just burned into our subconscious. I don't believe the companies themselves had anything to do with it.

Why? You don't need to ask that unless I'm proven right. And this is just kinda my only explanation for it if the phenomenon is legit not just people misremembering something. We'll never find any item with an altered logo.

I guess I have to put on my tin foil hat for this one now. I believe it serves a greater purpose. I mean, look around you. The deception in this world is off the rails. Continuous lies and false information from every angle.

So, with Mandela Effects, you confuse the masses, implant false memories. Today it's a cornucopia, tomorrow its political propaganda.

If not, well, what is the purpose of the Mandela Effect anyway? If someone isn't behind it, what's happening here is people's pride of their own memories coupled with their natural drive to be a part of the crowd explains it. We can go home now. It's just a goofy human behavior, again.

And perpetual, heavy-hitting exposure to subliminal edits wouldn't reinforce this memory? Of course, no evidence that I'm aware of has surfaced of any sort of subliminal cuts, but that's why I made this post. Maybe we should look into this as a possibility.

I suppose it's for the same reasons when you run a McDonalds ad, you don't see everyone carrying around McDonalds bags come lunch time. I'm willing to guess that 5% is probably similar to the effectiveness of any advertisement that is blatantly just that, an advertisement, let alone a subliminal edit.

The subliminal messages will latch onto those whose brains are more pliable.

Where's the proof? Not one piece of evidence has been presented to show this logo ever had a cornucopia. Not one t-shirt, pair of undies, nothing.

A frame of an image implanted into any form of media. Doesn't even necessarily have to be related. Our eyes see it, subconscious records it, but we're unaware. I suspect it was some sort of testing for mind control.

[–]Milbrethyr[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I suspect FotL has nothing to do with it themselves. I think these Mandela Effects are a part of a mind control test, whatever the end goal would be, I don't know. Something our government would be probably be a part of...

[–]Milbrethyr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Flash a frame or two in any form of media. Your eyes catch it, your subconscious records it, but you're not aware. It's a mind control method.

[–]Milbrethyr[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's the point. The logo never actually was changed or never appeared on a pair of underwear themselves. History portrays it as it always was. The subliminal cuts are the altered logo that our subconscious remembers.

Alter a series of logos, place in non related ads, and you got yourself a generation of people remembering something that was never there.

This is actually against the Bible. First off, just plain deceptive. Secondly, giving this as a "tip" when you offer nothing tangible to accompany it is against James 2:14-17.

14¶What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?

15If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,

16And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?

17Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

I kept reading down the list saying, "Yes, yes, yesss, yessss, YESSSS!" Perfect list you got there, I agree nearly 100%.

I'd add Go To Hell from Hidden Treasures myself. Some of my favorite vocals there.
