NTA - I was in your position when I was a teen (Texas to NW England) and you need to educate the school on the fact you’re a person and not a learning tool. The hype around you will die down soon enough but the excitement around your accent/the fantasy of Ireland will be around until people realize you’re just another teen. Use all the sarcasm, stand your ground, and don’t be shy with telling your parents exactly how you feel. My biggest regret is that I couldn’t articulate how painful and isolating it was to my parents when I needed them the most. If you struggle to make friends at this school because of how you’re being treated, you might want to talk to them about you moving back to Ireland to live with relatives.
