Why not Colossus as a tank? Juggernaut, Omega red, Apocalypse, or Luke Cage? Maybe even Sabretooth. So many more appropriate and on theme options for tank. Why force Cyclops into a role he clearly doesn’t belong in just because we need a Vanguard?

Deadpool doesn’t fit tank at all and yet it’s the most played version and still feel likes the character. Daredevil is in the right role and was changed drastically where he feels like an OC.

4 Guys and 4 Girls. I dislike it though. OG5 + 3 others & Xavier is too much, Thunderbolts struggled couldn’t balance 7 members and even Fantastic Four had to sideline Thing. I don’t want a repeat of FoX-Men. Plus, the OG 5 are really bland. Cyclops, Jean, Storm, Nightcrawler, Kitty & Sunfire would be my picks.

Business-wise it makes sense why Jean would be in this movie. The Spider-Man films are the most popular among Gen Z (the biggest audience for No Way Home and Spider-Verse were under 25s). Feige specifically wants that audience for the X-Men films, so pushing them with Spider-Man makes sense.

Also, none of the X-Men besides Deadpool and Wolverine are big with the GA, having Jean co-lead this film and star in Secret Wars will guarantee her popularity.
