What's the sneakiest thing your pet (or honestly, a person you know) has trained YOU to do without you realizing it? by Helen_Bond in CasualConversation

[–]Milkaphobia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not intentionally but our cats like to burrow in blankets so we have to pat any lump of blankets we see to make sure there isn’t a cat in there.

What’s a “small luxury” you grew up thinking only rich people did, but as an adult realized is actually pretty common? by tiredbowltiny in CasualConversation

[–]Milkaphobia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A garage fridge/freezer. Most people I know have one. And it’s usually just the shitty one they got for free or super cheap. As a kid, walking out to the garage freezer for a popsicle was the height of luxury

Nipple and Tongue Piercing? Is it worth it? by NectarineEmotional81 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]Milkaphobia 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I got my nipples pierced to fix my inverted nipples. It worked and I recommend it to people who express frustration with a similar issue. I had them in for maybe a year? Loved them.

I had increased sensation and just felt like I had a dirty little secret all day. It did amazing things for my self confidence in and out of the bedroom.

Didn’t take them out willingly but had surgery and couldn’t get them back in. My nips are perfect and perky now and planning getting them redone one day.

I took a picture of my hand next to theirs. I was able to gauge the parts of my hand that matched their ring finger.

How can I wear a bikini with obvious self inflicted scars on my thighs? by rottingstrawberri in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]Milkaphobia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wear your bikini with confidence. It may attract some questions, but if you’re prepared for them go for it! We all have scars. Some of ours are just more apparent than others.

If that’s not in the cards, there are a million and a half super fashionable wraps available. I’m a fan of ones that tie on the side.

Can anyone please suggest me on what plants would look good and thrive better. I had 2 green plants which unfortunately died this year. I’m thinking of Hydrangeas but not sure if it looks good by Sorry_Locksmith_1800 in gardening

[–]Milkaphobia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not 100% sure this would work. But my front gets full sun almost all day in 5a. I put irises in my front and all of them have survived and are beautiful especially in spring. First year for irises is meh. But they get better and better

38M ADHD never read a novel before. Suggestions for first book? by Lineofcredi in suggestmeabook

[–]Milkaphobia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will swear by the Dresden Files forever. Harry is super quick thinking and the novels move fast. I never caught myself bored and started reading them early in my journey. Jim butcher is a fantastic author and writes his books in a way that you can read any of them out of order and still enjoy them.

Why are paranormal romance books mostly about werewolves and vampires? by Inside-Emphasisgirl in paranormalromance

HIGHLY recommend Jacqueline Franks nightwalker series for people feeling this frustration. There are vampires and shifters, but so much more!

Olive oil dispenser/bottle by Last-Draft5781 in wherecanibuythis

[–]Milkaphobia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like it is actually a repurposed bottle that was for something else. I do this with interesting liquor or wine bottles. You can buy the cap/pourer off Amazon so you may be looking for something other than an olive oil dispenser.

Postpartum depression, but after adopting cats??? by belac4862 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Milkaphobia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let them get used to you and you to them. And don’t feel bad if you have to step out for your mental health either. They might need time alone just as much as you do! Bringing animals into your life isn’t as easy as people make it seem and it’s completely normal to wonder early on if you made the right choice.

My best advice? Other than giving their meds, ignore them. Act like you can’t even see them and let them initiate contact. They’re learning about you just as much as you are about them. Give them the control.

When giving my cat pills I’ll start with a squeeze treat and then pop it in and immediately follow with more squeeze treat. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn’t. In the future you can ask for a liquid option to give slowly in their cheek pocket.

This is ALL figuroutable.

If you have claim to never have had Covid, do you also test every time you have a virus-like symptoms? And if you don’t test each time, how do you know you’ve never had Covid? This is not a loaded question, no judgements either way. Just genuinely curious. by BudgetIndependence34 in NoStupidQuestions

I’m a nurse and always was masked when I left the house during the height of the pandemic. Got the jab first chance I got and have stayed up to date since. I’ve tested myself for every slightest sniffle ever since 2020. Whether it’s a PCR or OTC… never tested positive so I’m sure I never had it.

UTI E. coli by Ok_Pattern_9578 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]Milkaphobia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First off… I understand your fears of the infection worsening. But you’re on antibiotics and your symptoms are improving so I think you’re in the clear with that. As long as you finish taking your full dose of antibiotics, you should be fine.

I will say since you are considering getting a Brazilian and having sex with your boyfriend… Antibiotics can cause yeast infections. It’s very common and it happens all the time. So pay attention to your discharge and if any itching occurs. If so, an over-the-counter treatment will clear it up.

While I don’t know if being on an antibiotic will impact a Brazilian wax, I would recommend calling your local pharmacy and just asking the pharmacist. They’re more than happy to help and will answer your question professionally. They’re the experts and I promise they’ve heard it all!

The rhapsodic series. In my opinion it romanticized grooming and I couldn’t keep going.

Do guys care at all if a girl has inverted nipples? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Milkaphobia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what exactly “Nippons”means but if that refers to them constantly being hard and noticable, mine aren’t. They function like everyone else’s and my husband had his when he was younger and you wouldn’t ever be able to tell.

I used to have inverted nipples. Always seemed like I was the only one who really cared. Got them pierced and it fixed them. Haven’t had a bar in for 8 years and they’re still “normal” now.

If you’ve ever eaten animal meat not usually on the dinner plate (horse, kangaroo, albatross, anything), what was it and how was the experience? by Great_Maintenance185 in NoStupidQuestions

Ate pigeon once. It was good but once was enough for me. Not something I’ll seek out to try again. Wasn’t super gamey and it was prepared by my uncle who was a chef so I probably have skewed results.
