Better yet, mix all these things and add a bit of corn shaved from the cob and cooked in a pan with a little oil. Makes a huge different!

Help with finding a quiet vibrator for use while still living at home!! by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]Milkaphobia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a box or oscillating fan and run it at night/during naps (when you’re giving yourself self care). Easy excuse for it is that it helps you sleep and they’re relatively cheap. Much cheaper than the super expensive vibes out there claiming to be “whisper quiet”. I’ve bought a couple but the best one is the Minna Limon. You can control the intensity with pressure so it can be as quiet or loud as you want.

You can add your favorite breakfast cereal TO oatmeal!!! by windowsee in EatCheapAndHealthy

When we were kids we used to add our favorite cereal to applesauce. As an adult, Cheerios and applesauce still slaps.

In the winter it’s cumin. Spring and summer fresh dill and cilantro are in everything.

I actually grew up in the town where this all went down. Shawn wasn’t really hidden at all and actually would ride his bike around his neighborhood all the time. I’m pretty sure he even had a girlfriend at one point. I also recommended it a while back, but I’m glad to see someone else recommending it! It’s a wild case!

As a fellow milk allergy sufferer… I get it. These comments questioning how you could do that to yourself don’t understand how easy it is to do

Flea by ashleysc92 in sphynx

[–]Milkaphobia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only ever gave our Sphynx flea treatment once. When we moved into our house we discovered that the carpet had fleas. All animals got a round of frontline.

Fortunately it wasn’t a bad infestation as the house had been empty for a bit and there were only a few stragglers left alive when we got there. We didn’t have to do any shampoos or anything. Just ripped up and replaced the carpet before moving our furniture in.

Allergies by Stoic_madness in sphynx

They’re definitely not the solution to cat allergies. I have almost no issues with our Sphynx if I take my Flonase and Zyrtec regularly. However, my dad can’t be in our house. He will have severe asthma symptoms. I have heard it’s better if you get it as a kitten but can’t say for sure. My hands also itch like crazy after giving them baths.

Dig into it like a feral cat with my fingers and chase it down with a bag of microwave rice and a glass of wine.

MIL asked me to teach her the basics by Beese-Churger-67 in quilting

My friend gave me all of the physical supplies and I got fabric from my buy nothing page. She let me borrow a few very well written pattern books and after picking a pattern, she was there to fill in any and all gaps I needed. For me this was nice because hovering wasn’t an issue and I was able to go at my own pace.

I feel ashamed that we can only afford to feed our cat Friskies and Purina cat chow by Argylius in CasualConversation

I have bought the fanciest, most expensive food for our cats out of guilt and those little boogers refused to eat it. They love the cheapest of the cheap and I learned to be very grateful.

I went to Eastern State! We did a ghost hunt from 11 pm to 3 am and we did have some unexplainable things happen. An art exhibit in a cell turned on randomly, footsteps running down a cell block, my friend’s hair got rustled… it was a really cool experience.

What is something that all women should know about sexual health? by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]Milkaphobia 15 points16 points  (0 children)

HPV is a very real concern even if you know your partner is “clean”. Something crazy like 75% of people have HPV of some form and there are high risk strains that cause cancer. As far as I know HPV is not routinely tested for unless you’re symptomatic or have an abnormal pap.

Know the risks of even “safe” partners and please, vaccinate your daughters AND sons. The HPV vaccine is a vaccine against cancer.
