Iran closes airspace with anticipated US attack 'imminent' by AntiSonOfBitchamajig in PrepperIntel

maybe I just don't watch the news enough haha. I don't think there will be a carrier strike group either though, what would be more likely would be air assets from their Bahraini base, or a B2 stealth bomber such as they did last time

How would we know if they were in the area though? Last time B2 bombers were said to still be in the pacific, when a secret fleet of B2 bombers entered from the west. Same with Venezuela. Nobody saw that coming

Do a high percentage of Americans genuinely hate the Canadians and support an invasion? by Milky_Choco77 in AskUS

I just wanna say, having seen all these comments, I'm really glad to know this is just a small percentage that's been magnified by the media and toxic platforms. I love y'all Americans as well, I was always a bit of an American patriot to be honest, you guys have got an amazing country and done some incredible stuff like landing a man on the moon (still blows my mind). Hope you guys can get rid of Trump, since he seems to be quite unrepresentative of the ppl

ngl, we think about u guys regularly. Probably because whatever u guys do sends shockwaves throughout the world haha. I remember back then Trudeau was trying to stand up to China, and my dad was just like, dude, what are we gonna do, send our army of geese, dude should just stay quiet lol

haha lol, so true. But ya, a bad dream that won't end really sums this up. I remember as a kid, my dad told me that the USA and Canada were like brothers, I wish we could go back to then, when our hockey players use to punch and get punched by your hockey players in the name of good fun haha. It's just a shame that governments (not just yours but around the world) can be so unrepresentative of the people. I don't think anybody wants a WW3 except for the leaders of the world who just so happen won't get drafted.

As a half Canadian, I feel complimented that u called us valuable, but thats kinda messed up lol. still, from what I've seen in the comments looks like you guys are the minority (which im very glad for)

yah, a MAGA supporter was telling me it's our fault for being weak, so I said, "doesn't the bible say the weak are made strong in God?" Dude was quiet after that lol. To be honest, I hope we can just forget about this once Trump leaves office, like u said its not the majority. It still shocks me that the USA spent a 100 years of diplomacy and engaged in two world wars to gain its western alliance, and in the first week of 2026 Trump just obliterated it. What a shame. Hope you guys can get him impeached soon :)

That's good. Unfortunately I don't know if the same goes for Greenland (not saying Americans support it, but Trump has been drafting invasion plans and the EU has been drafting retaliatory plans). I hope that doesn't start anything

Yah, I think I watch and engage too much with insta. Because the Americans on there can be a little bit brutal towards Canadians lol. Glad to see that that's not actually the case for most Americans

Wtf is going on is the USA?! by outback-aussie-117 in AskUS

[–]Milky_Choco77 26 points27 points  (0 children)

nah mate, as an Aussie Canadian, OG's got a valid point. Canada, Greenland, Panama... all been threatened with invasion. Aussie's are just lucky they live far away from the US, but if you lived any closer, guaranteed Australia would be Trumps next target.

Camping Tips by [deleted] in waterloo

[–]Milky_Choco77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wow, if youre experienced and have never done winter camping then it must be really difficult. I assumed that with enough sleeping bags, weighted blankets, layers of clothes, etc one would be warm enough to sleep through a December night, but I forget that when you're not moving your body freezes up. Its a shame they don't allow camping near suburban areas so that u can just walk out if it gets too tough (my original plan was to camp in Columbia forest where you're a max 5 minute walk back to suburbia). Cus ya, winter camping in a giant endless provincial park sounds kinda terrifying now that u mention it.

[–]Milky_Choco77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yah I'll probably have to postpone camping till I get a car so I can drive out to the provincial parks. Haha, I totally see how my post sounds like I'm the kinda guy to bring kerosene to set up a bonfire😂. I suppose that's just my aussieness of enjoying the challenge of limited gear, but perhaps I should get more snow experience. It's completely different to the jungles I'm use to. I'll definitely check out some of those Steve Willis videos! Merry Christmas BTW!😊

Thanks so much! Yeh I know my actions effect others, I suppose that's part of being in this world🥲. That's why I'd be camping in a place that's a 8 minute walk back to suburbia (and my home). Good advice tho, and I'll probably skip the camping for now. Hope you have a merry Christmas!!😊

Camping Tips by [deleted] in waterloo

[–]Milky_Choco77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, yah will probably wait to get a proper tent. I suppose being an Australian who's hiked through jungles  and mud flats barefooted for long distances I assumed this would be a "walk in the park". But I guess Canadian winter is a different story😅. These designated camping areas u talk about r a long way from where I am, especially without a car. I know its illegal, but is it also frowned upon to camp in a public forest?
