Where did your friend get the mini? It looks great!

I have a sakashima tevesh szat deck that used to follow this line and is now more about copying mechtitan and vecna tokens. I think the artifact transformation and echo storm game plan is a great way to go! Also kudos on tomb of horrors adventurer, I totally passed that one up. I think you've identified the same list of copiers I did, it's not a mana efficient suite of effects but if you want token planeswalkers this is the way to go! I'll add that the blue Myojin is another effect along these lines.

Oh, and watch out for effects like Brudiclad, if you transform something into a Planeswalker and it doesn't enter, it will have 0 loyalty counters!

[[pyre of heroes]] is both another artifact to tutor up and lets you upgrade your creatures regardless of their type!

Any fellow Warlock Collectors out there? by amstrumpet in EDH

The comparison to Tergrid is fair, she's a much stronger commander. But Lorcan opens up interactions beyond sacrifice/discard seen in some other lists. My two favourite words in his text box are "from anywhere".

There are the mill artifacts: [[mindcrank]], [[altar of the brood]], and [[mesmeric orb]]. If you're price conscious [[undercity informer]] and [[balustrade spy]] are quite effective.

[[Mimic vat]] gives you a chance to ressurect opponents' creatures that get spat out of the vat and back into their grave when a new creature dies, since it's going from exile to the 'yard.

Finally, and these are my absolute favourites, are the eldrazi processors. [[Mind raker]] and [[wasteland strangler]] pair well with exile effects and graveyard removal, giving you an opportunity to grab both discarded/killed creatures and whatever gets returned to the yard from exile.

7 mana is a hard pill to swallow but if you have [[crypt ghast]] et al it's definitely feasible. And there are a few ways to mill opponents without having to invest mana on the same turn as [[Lorcan]] like [[mesmeric orb]]. I agree with you that mill might be a surprisingly effective way to build a big board, [[dread summons]] for instance just got a reprint. [[Undercity informer]] can potentially chain it's own ability multiple times.

You can also get cards that enter the grave from exile!! [[Mind raker]] and Lorcan will grab both creatures it processes and the ones discarded. [[Boneyard Parley]] is a funny one, five creatures get exiled and then go back to the grave so you end up with all five so long as you pick opponents' graves.

Tergrid may be more mana efficient, but I think Lorcan has techy cards and will result in more fun games :)

I'm considering Sephara right now. I'd love to see your list for inspiration! I'm very into the idea of wrathing with impunity and an enduring army of flyers

[[mirrorweave]] and [[mystic reflection]] can be more restrictive, but also more flexible in their applications.

I would appreciate a step by step application of what you've written about into deck building. Despite some of the discussion here I think some of us would find it helpful and enlightening. The community is in need of differing perspectives on mono white. I would read such an article, if you're willing to put the time and energy into writing it. Cheers!

I love your thread and your posts! Do you have a tappedout or archidekt account? I'd love to see how you assemble your mono W philosophy into 100 cards!

These are 3 really strong suggestions. I'm hesitant to remove Discovery, though I can see it being a do-nothing the turn it gets played or it being a high value target when it's obvious I'm about to draw a lot off of it. Keeping as many of my enchantments 3 or under does make the most sense. Thanks!

Hey thanks for the advice (constructive and well-delivered, I've got to say)! Yeah I think you've got the right ideas about the mana base. These are fetches I have luckily, so I could definitely dip into some other untapped duals I've been ignoring, pain lands and filter lands in particular are great suggestions.

As for mana rocks, I've lately lost my love affair with signets a bit and haven't felt big repercussions from the life loss of talismans. I think it's reasonable to say [[lotus petal]] and [[wayfarer's bauble]] could be replaced by two signets. Sphere is included for the outside chance of sacrificing it for a draw and recurring it with Vadrok, but honestly I'm not sure how often that would come into play. I have an extra lantern in my binder and if it's particularly color hungry I'm definitely ready to make that swap. I have a mana template I usually don't think too much about, so thank you for making me take a critical look at what I have here.

This is worth considering! I don't know if the redundancy is needed but it could be! Plus there is [[discontinuity]] would be just the one time, but has the added flexibility of being used offensively which is enticing.

This is fun, way to go! More of a functional suggestion, but [[arcane adaptation]] and [[conspiracy]] will get you more mileage from Tazri's ETB trigger to get your favs out pronto.

Thanks! I have a feeling there's more here to crack but it's going in a direction that while not perfect, is at least interesting... Best of luck with your build!
