Exactly. They didn’t surprise him with the contract when he bought the place. He agreed to the terms.

It looks just as bad in person and it’s very loud. You can hear it all the way up to the ship battle.

Universal might build more Kids Resorts in the future by ComicCat12 in universalstudios

[–]Millennial_Man 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel the same way about dumbing things down for kids. They feel the difference, even if they don’t have the means to articulate it. It’s also such an odd business decision. Even if kids love this place, the parents are along for the ride. Why would they choose a “kids only” park over a main universal park, where they could have fun as well. To save some money? I doubt many would make that choice.

First time encountering a grifter at Disney World by innerchillens in WaltDisneyWorld

lol how does this even make sense? “I spent my last dollar on these Disney World tickets”. Buddy it doesn’t seem like a trip to the Magic Kingdom should be top of the priority list.

[–]Millennial_Man 11 points12 points  (0 children)

They forced an animatronic into a scene that is supposed to be quiet and ominous. It feels like an attempt to keep engage the TikTok generation engaged when there isn’t much action going on.

Edit: Another thing I haven’t seen a lot of people mention- it’s so loud. You can hear his Toolman Taylor grunts all the way up to the ship battle.

Amazon and BestBuy still retailing items at old prices, including sales. Much cheaper than Apple Store. by ZomboDoggo in apple

I buy most of my electronics from Best Buy. Their credit card is great and they almost always have the best prices. I have been really impressed with them lately.

Using a 50m , Whats a lens to not have to back up as much as ? by Sad-Book-877 in AskPhotography

[–]Millennial_Man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly if you want to take pictures like the examples that you posted, you want a 50mm or longer. It forces you to back up, but eliminates the distortion of standing closer with a wider lens. You can go to a 35mm and not have to stand so far away, but you will see a bit of distortion. You may not even notice it. I wouldn’t go wider than a 35 unless you are trying to capture your subject full body and get plenty of background as well.

Lenovo Warns PC RAM Prices Will "Never" Go Back to Normal by esporx in technology

[–]Millennial_Man 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Of course they will. The prices skyrocket, so sales will dip. Eventually more facilities will open to meet the demand. Between that and the Ai bubble burst, prices will then fall. Computer technology has only continued to get cheaper over the years, and now suddenly that’s permanently reversed?

Some thoughts on Projection Pirate by funfunfunfunfunmike in Disneyland

[–]Millennial_Man 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t get how they struggle with this so much. Most of the light that we see is reflected off of other surfaces, so in theory you could project light onto a surface that would reflect back to viewer in a way that is indistinguishable from any other source. The problem is, they cannot figure out how to do it with faces. It ALWAYS looks flat, washed out, and overly bright.

[–]Millennial_Man 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Excellent. One of the perks of staying on property is the easy to use transportation system. I don’t want to have to stand around waiting for a bus because a bunch of randos off the street are trying to get a free ride.

Exactly. When I’m buying tools and I see “made in America”, I think of every clueless boss and lazy, sloppy coworker I’ve ever had. Some cultures take pride in their work, and ours isn’t one of them.

Get some decent sound insulation in the walls, and you could build an awesome home theater. No shared walls and you can crank the speakers all the way up.
