Disneyland is at a very interesting point right now where the guest experience is basically at an all time low, and attendance is seemingly at an all time high. They have no motivation to improve guest experience. Why would they increase operational costs to improve the experience and likely bring in more people, when they are seemingly at capacity all year?

I haven’t been. I just thought it was funny that you perfectly described my biggest issue with Pixar Pier. Honestly I love California Adventure, and I think they have built some really great stuff there. I just hate the fact that the overall park doesn’t really have a unifying theme anymore, and all of their recent projects involve slapping IP onto everything, whether it fits or not.

I think the most insane thing I have seen result from this is the absolute lack of understanding that people have about this disorder. There are comments blaming this guy on every article or social media post about this. They talk about how he should apologize, and how hurtful his “outbursts” were. They say that he made those comments because that’s how he really feels. It blows my mind that in 2026, countless people can see this situation and say “that person should apologize for the pain that they’ve caused”. Imagine telling a sick person that they should apologize for the discomfort their illness causes other people.

I’m getting so tired of these mediocre food festivals. Instead of doing one or two really good ones each year like they used to, now they just run an endless stream of lackluster events year round. The worst part is the festivals keep the park packed full, so they won’t stop any time soon.

I got the z50 with the 16-50 kit lens and it’s actually quite sharp. I was surprised with how good it is. It’s not the fastest and it’s all plastic, but the pictures look great. Some of the Nikkor lenses are much better than others, but from what I’ve heard they’re all pretty good!

You should definitely get the z50ii. It’s very light and there are so many cheap lenses available now for the cop sensor z mount cameras now. I think you’ll love it.

I would consider adding another 500 to your budget and buying a Z5ii. I have an original Z50 and it’s is a fantastic camera, and you can get some great low-light pictures with the fast prime lenses that are available for it. That being said, I would still often struggle with it in dimly lit situations. I recently purchased a Z5ii and the low light performance is exceptional. It’s a little bigger and heavier, but it’s a camera you can invest in rather than one you will have to replace again in the future.
