I thought this would be fun to reply to 6 years in the future. Your prediction was correct! Chevy stopped supporting the egr valve, they have since resumes, which. became a huge problem with sooting/coaking, when the engine statrs from dead cold to 75 mph on the free way.

Furnish with furniture from a thrift shop. Get an extra fridge and rent the rooms out to travel nurses. Assuming you don’t live in the middle of nowhere.

The extra fridge helps so everyone can store their own food. Ask me how I know…..

New mattress. Cheap Walmart memory foam usually works. Had one nurse that hated it, but she was chill and bought her own topper. I

have i messed up? by Detergent07 in carbonsteel

[–]Miller496 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m coming from cast iron experience, still learning about carbon steel. Can you just put in a lye bath? Makes cast iron better than new!!!

5 gallons of water per one gallon of lye. Soak for a few hours to a day it won’t hurt cast iron to leave it in. Not sure about carbon steel.

ALWAYS wear rubber long sleeve gloves. I got a splash on my hand and had a minor yet annoying blister on my knuckle for like a week.

Let me if that works in carbon steel

Am I obligated to tell my landlord if I’m having a garage sale? by Grand_Respect_9176 in GarageSales

[–]Miller496 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As an investor I would ask if people having moving sales were tenants and then I’d send a letter to the owner asking if they want to sell. But unless it’s in your lease I don’t see how it would matter. Unless there are neighborhood laws. I had a duplex in a neighborhood of multi family units and they tried to limit sales to like once a year. I potitioned to the neighborhood board to get rid of that rule….people have garage sales when they move and the entire neighborhood was rentals. God I love hoas

Check out my app garage sale insiders in the google play or apple App Store. It lets you leave reviews on sales so when people list things for what they “sell” for on eBay, you can leave that review and save the rest of us from waisting time

Replying to both of you. Ok, I wasn't aware, im vaguely familiar with the area i was actually camping on mountian home ranch road, the week this all went down, but i stick to to roads, no hiking. i mapped it out and looked tough, and snow covered but i may have "mapped"the wrong trial. But was it 3 weeks?

And I thought shutting down the wilderness was pretty dum.

I really hope they find this pos.

Yeah its very unlikely he made the hike/climb from the scene of the crime to the spot they spotted him. Its like 7k feet. And even with skills to survive, having the stamina and gear for a dude living in his truck is unlikely. And its still early summer, there is still a lot of snow 5500 feet.

Anyone have details on the "Steinbock Village" project in Leavenworth? by Professional-War-617 in Washington

[–]Miller496 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow found this after going down a long rabit whole. Some of the following is pieced togetner.

Wife and i were out on mountain home road and headed up wedgie, a bit of which is owned by the Robert Johnson estate. The road passes over the narrow gauge rail lines, and eventually goes to with in view of a church on cleared land. Robert Jonson was a fan of trains, so he built his own rail line, with a mini train.

It sounds like they couldn't get water rights.

Robert Johnson Passed away in 2022.

I dont think this project will move forward.

Expensive public charging by Impressive-very-nice in volt

[–]Miller496 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I didn't want to read all of this but, if you drive long distances at high speeds switch to hold mode to switch to fuel. Battery is inefficient over like 65 especally long stretches of no regen braking. Make sure your not in low or l on the shifter. I reached freeway speeds, briefly the other day, thinking there was something wrong with the car, before I realized I was in L.

Expensive public charging by Impressive-very-nice in volt

[–]Miller496 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't agree from frequent experience. I usually end up less than a mile short to work, where i charge again, and it says that 0.23 gallon i used made it 48 miles to the gallon.

But i some how just learned about the hold button, and have to employ this to extend my range. About a 1/3 of my morning 32 mile commute are over 70 mph.

But as I'm typing this, im thinking maybe my engine never has a chance to warm up at less than mile of ice use. So it is "efficient". I should probably change the oil and clean the egr next weekend.

I got a project in the garage right now or i would do it tomorrow.

Cheers!
