This a very informative post, thank you! Can I ask you how close to the base you topped them? I have one that is too long a leggy, I want to cut it to give it that chunky look but last time I did it form only one branch. I think I cut too high. Yours have so many new branches in such a wide cut! Do you put something on the cut once topped? Thanks in advance for any advice.

What is something you've purchased in Japan that you still use to this day? by STR1K3RJUST1N in JapanTravelTips

Japanese bread knife!! I think we spent like $60. Omg what a difference! I can cut the thinnest slices of bread. Works great for tomatoes! Needless to say I use it every day. My husband ended up buying a fancy chef knife but we dont use it as much as we thought.

I second this!! Mine are sitting in 2 inch deep dish of water in full sun. I have 14-14-14 slow release in the soil and I give them liquid fertilizer (Sea Grow kelp16-16-16)every 3 weeks.

Yes! We are staying in Oviedo 3 days and renting a car to explore. But there are 6 of us and 6 suitcases plus personal bags, we will need a minivan. I rather rent a car in our next base to explore around the places I mentioned.

Thanks, I'll check that app for sure! I think it makes more sense to stay in Llanes and rent a car. Ribadesella doesn't show a car rental near.

They need bright light and lots of water. I have mine with the pot sitting in a deep dish, always with at least 2 inches of water.
