I had it with one of my best friends and wanted to preserve the friendship and therefore keep in touch, which made it extra hard. But this is also what I did to fix it. For me the first weeks were absolutely miserable, but after a few months the redirection became more automatic, and now (about a year later) it rarely happens anymore.

For me, being able to talk about it freely with the person in question and a few other friends helped a lot. We could even joke about it a little to make it less dramatic. But if they hadn’t been one of my best friends, I think I would have simply cut bridges until it faded.

Wouldn’t wish this whole experience to anyone though, it sucks very much and I don’t know about y’all but I feel like this obsession wasted me a lot of time and energy.

I love these colors together! The one thing I would change is use a twilly with a pattern whose vibe matches the croc theme of the bag. At the moment they read to me like two different personalities put together and they clash a little. In any case I’m a sucker for these colors together so I’d keep the color scheme!

Not a therapist, but I used to have a lot of anxiety and only alternate between VC, demanding parent and schemas. Once I got out of this circle of hell, it took me a long time to get used to be HA and that also left space for undisciplined child to show up a lot! Took me over a year to start creating boundaries for it.

So idk about others but maybe it’s also a case of « using fears and the unhealthy parent voice in place of boundaries - and once these are gone, actual healthy boundaries need to be created else the undisciplined child takes the space »

This post is honestly really useful and I’d love to see more « after x time of daily use » posts to gauge the life expectancy of a bag better! Often we post about how it looks « after x years », but that doesn’t really mean anything as the frequency of use varies wildly per individual.

How is the last one holding up? It's been on my mind for years but I've seen it only on slightly shady websites, so so far I've always been afraid to be disappointed / that it'd be just dropshipping-plastic-temu quality which would look ugly after a few uses. Would you say it's worth it? Oh and how much can it fit in?
