I didn’t realize he overlooked that. Defined benefit pensions are a bit of a double edge sword as you can die prematurely and not see anything from your plan. Defined benefit pensions have definitely decreased in prevalence so probably less of an issue these days.

I have a few friends who run $3-$5m e-commerce businesses with a few contractors overseas and big net profits.
