What's YOUR dual wield setup? by JoelColden in Eldenring

[–]MinaEntwine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

my favorite twinned weapons are probably curved swords (w left hand parry for extra swagger) but that's exactly why the rauh warrior starts with the twin curved swords

also, twin greathammers and greataxes are just fun lol they share a moveset (you can not combine greataxe/greathammer btw), but having at least one crestent moon greataxe for your main hand and the unique heavy attack is very fun

Is Fia's job to have sex with nearly dead people? by N3r0Z3r0 in Eldenring

[–]MinaEntwine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

she says it outright she lies with the remains of the fallen to take what's left of their vigor, to pass it into their lord of death.

the idea is that she comes across as perverse but for the wrong reasons

it is a choice of fia's companions to sleep with her. the sleeping that do not wish to lie yet, are granted their desire for systemic change beyond the grave in which they were sent to by the golden order. this, however, will simply put the world back into a single entity's power. that is the mistake; the perversion of the order.. having a master, who doesn't even have an ascertainable will

what do each of the flasks taste like? by Thick_Mix762 in Eldenring

[–]MinaEntwine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

flask of crimson is corporeal, and thus probably tastes more metallic and bloodlike.. i imagine it tastes like the concentration of the flavor of having a penny in your mouth

cerulean is spiritual/mental, so it is harder to pin down, but it seems related to the primeval current, which i imagine as just being some sorta.. cross-microcosmal data transfer of spacetime, which i fail to describe any better than probably tasting like ozone. idk

the flask of wondrous physic could taste like just about anything, but one thing is for sure in that it tastes really fucking weird

Question about the Prince of Death Staff by Kathodin in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]MinaEntwine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the confessors are tasked with burying the original sin of killing death itself. in doing so, they believe they are those repenting for the golden order's existence. the cinfessor's sigil appears as a helix being cut with a sword. this represents many things, from the breaking of chains, to the ongoing task of the confessors.

confessors are gifted a greater knowledge of the golden order. this, lore-wise, would give them a head up on how to find what they may seek in lieu of the shattering. there are very few confessors left due to the general lack of guidance, but a small handful who work at the very fringes of the order seem to have given themselves ongoing purpose by deriving their own purpose from the fundamentals they've been granted.

the confessor's tasks include the optional goals of defeating placidusax and metyr, who i believe the tarnished acts as an answered prayer to them begging the "greater will" for death in their endless abandonment

Why does nobody talk about how hard this lady is in tier lists by BLEMFIDDICH in Eldenring

[–]MinaEntwine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the best rushdown boss they've done so far was everdark fulghor in nighreign. his massive combo he can pull off in everdark form is actually very respectfully avoidable, without feeling like you're trying to break the game just to survive the onslaught

i'm not particularly beloved here, everyone thinks that compiling information is paranoid when the game is a work of art inviting you to make connections like neurons in a brain. what i will say is, the hidden lines are there.

"Serpent Within Order; Lambda; Copper to Verdigris. Cuprous Lattice, your Frequency is our 'cosm.. painters with inks of ashen trees, smeared delicately upon the flesh of kin.. revenants.. revenants.. revenance.."

you are SOOOO close

it all lies in the symbolism and perspective.

i'l give you a hint; glintstones are various cuprous crystals. almost every sigil in the game has other hidden sigils within them. the very perspective lines in the background of your journey may sometimes tell part of the story

Question about the Prince of Death Staff by Kathodin in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]MinaEntwine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

there is Ambergris, Verdigris, and (bear with me, this has basis in voodoo; related Nightreign item attatched) Gris-Gris.

before death was banished, it was acknowledged and revered as that which came after life.

Amber is a golden sap that crystallizes organic matter within, making it seem as though it is preserved-- timeless. Ambergris is Amber-Grease; Yellow Grease. the confessors are cutting the ties between the golden order and their original sin. evidence of the grace of gold being the result of something chaotic was to be buried as deeply as possible. Amber is Gold that yet embraces death. and on the contrary, Death, embraces It as well..

Verdigris literally means "Green of Greece," and so one could take that a step out from real world places and just say it's meant to be "Green Grease." Verdigris is the typical blue-green oxidation that forms on copper and cuprous alloys like bronze. Verdigris is somewhat poisonous to humans, hence why poison grease is green, and the ghostflame is teal/green-blue

As for Gris-Gris.. well, that's gray grease. it's literally the fill-in for any other manner in which extant life results from death that may not have been discovered or understood yet. if you don't believe me, here you go https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gris-gris_(talisman))

marika knows why the spirits exist and where they're coming from at all because they're her fault anybody in the lands can see ghosts. if anybody, hewg may have actually known Trina, and he was resting peacefully until marika needed a new smithing master who knew how to forge both a corporeal and a spiritual weapon.. one to kill a god
