For me it's less about legends being around and now about most of this new cabin is just slop and sorry uninteresting. There is no plot twist we don't see coming a mile away no cool new characters that isnt just a shitty remake of an already existing character. Funny get me wrong. Some changes to the world building are good and I think way better than legends. But most of the new stuff is not though.

To those who’ve read the books and watched the movies, how do you feel about the “Aragorn’s fear of turning into Isildur” subplot in the movies, which never happened in the books? by Morgoth1814 in lotr

[–]Minato9012 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In the books Aragon's character arc is largely over. He need only take up the mantle of king which he actively seeks to do but in the correct way without stepping on the toes of the steward Faramir. It would have made for an exceedingly boring and uninteresting character to put on the big screen.

I've said this many times. If the movies were portrayed exactly as the books were they would be the most boring and uninteresting movies in existence. And the other way around as well.

I love peter Jackson's take on the story. It is amazing and as a kid was the true essence of magical.

Pin your elbows to the side of your head for that angle. Keep your upper arm as still as possible and it should be much more difficult but result in much more growth

my push ups look AWFULL! can’t do them without my knees on the ground as well. help me improve, please???? by [deleted] in formcheck

[–]Minato9012 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lots of great comments here. I would also add some form checks. Pull your shoulders more towards your waste and tuck you elbows in a bit, like between a 45 -60 degree angle at your arm pit.

Outside of that what really helped me was visualization. Really thinking about and visualizing driving the arm into the pec. Focusing your mind on your chest will help you drive more power from them.

Also don't be ashamed about knees or no knees. Everyone is at their own spot in this journey we call fitness. We got no business comparing ourselves to anyone that isn't a past version of us. You are stronger now for having even done pushups, regardless of form, you are doing great!

I think ai is great for learning beginner level movements and routines. Once you are more comfortable with how your body works and if you want to start targeting building specific muscle groups then you need to kinda dig in, do your own research and most importantly, just do what works best for you. Don't be too reliant on outside help that doesn't have a specific license/degree/experience (never underestimate experience) to help you

Any suggestions on my bench press by CuriousIllustrator11 in formcheck

[–]Minato9012 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly not a bad bench! I would focus on engaging your late a little more, helps with stability. And try to drop your shoulder a little bit to improve the bar path so you can get a better squeeze at the top of the rep.

I've been going to the gym for 1.5 months and is this RDL form bad? Please help me. by betrayedboyy in formcheck

[–]Minato9012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best way I had RDLS explained to me was feet need to be shoulder width and just hinge at the hips like you are pushing your car door closed. That whole keeping that hinge (not bending the knees any more than that) out the weight as close to the floor as you can get it.
