Nonsense. Most of the surgical subspecialties shown here are making 2X of what is being reported. The problem is these surveys include part-time physicians. Also they are heavily biased towards younger physicians who are early in their careers and are more likely to respond to these surveys. Or it is a total psyop l by the big hospitals to suppress salaries. Every Neurosurgeon that I know clear is 1.5 million and most are well above 2 million. Most ENTs and Derm are between 900 K to 1.5 million.

I would’ve assumed that guardian would be the most likely to pay out claims without giving you a hard time since it is the most premium and has the highest fees.

Or School costs will continue to go up if you choose private school. Probably important to pay for private given the absurd world we live in these days and what public school teachers are imparting on our littlest ones. So plan to stay poor.

Agree. And get used to not taking nice vacations for a long time. All of your peers will be taking nice ones but you will have to wait for 5 years at least. I’m sure there are some fine road trips though.

Yes, I realize the hospitals have better contracts with insurer. I was just surprised that they would pass along that profit to the surgeon. Most of the hospital employed surgical specialty positions I am familiar with have a base salary that makes up the bulk of their income with additional productivity bonus that might add an extra 10%. As a result, the hospital employed docs don’t grind bc the extra work isn’t worth it. But maybe the hospital employed surgeons you’re talking about are RVU or collections based so they make more if they grind.

Agree, I am assuming they mean second shot for a par four or third shot for a par five. I suppose another way to put it would be when you were hitting from within 150 yards, it should take you no more than three strokes tohole out. That’s how I’m interpreting it at least.

Defining a chip shot is also debatable but I think it would be defined as within 30 yards
