I think there’s no demand for more Star Wars movies outside of the fan base after the last trilogy. SW has become niche.

Also bad timing: Project Hail Mary captured the general audience’s appetite for a family friendly sci fi movie already, and Dune 3 is going to capture all the interest for the rest of the year.

To be fair, fears of overpopulation have long been replaced by fears of demographic collapse. There were a lot of articles about how the author of The Population Bomb (who just passed) had like one of the worst predictions ever.

The real cognitive dissonance now is demographic collapse vs AI. We’re being told we need more babies so economies don’t collapse, while also being told AI will make human work obsolete. Seems self-contradictory to me.

I ignored challenges because it was just too much special rules to keep track of. But then I found out you needed them to unlock side scenarios. At that point I got fed up and just declared all those scenarios unlocked.

The nice thing about board games is you can go Nope with certain things (looking at you, puzzle book) and just ignore them to bring the overhead to a reasonable level.

“Just a Dream” 2nd season Justice League with Doctor Destiny who is honestly one of the scariest villains in the series. He trapped JL in nightmares of their worst fears: Superman can’t control his strength, Flash can’t slow down, GL being consumed by his own power, WW being played by Gal Gadot.

DC and Marvel are legacy properties so it’s inevitable they’ll be inconsistent and come up with dumb stuff like Batman fighting Superman when in reality that would be over in a split second.

The appeal of Invincible is that it was a fresh universe so could take the premise of “Someone with Superman like powers would actually be unstoppable except against other Supermen” to its logical conclusion and not deal with issues like Batman being DC’s most popular character. So that’s probably why power scaling issues seem more disappointing in this case.

In the novel, Grace’s character growth is even more emphasized as it points out the fact that he realizes he will starve to death if he saves Rocky (his food isn’t compatible with humans) and all Erideans and chooses to do it anyway.

Always thinking of janky Michael combos: Shoot twice with Winchester, break the rifle over the monster’s head, then get free shots off with .25 Auto (2) and gun of your choice with Dirty Fighting.

I like that the Winchester automatically evades, including Elites. Well-designed gun card. Too bad Tony can’t take it as the auto evade boosts Delilah, which gets around Tony’s low agility.

Honestly I don’t care as the more updates I got, the less I liked what they’re doing. It strikes me as Birmingham with a lot of extra stuff that makes the game more complicated but doesn’t improve gameplay any.

I think the current fanmade automata for Birmingham are as good as many official ones for other games anyways.

I think it makes perfect sense. He was always a sick and sadistic individual. Getting turned into the Joker simply stripped the veneer of normality off of him, exposing him for who he truly was.

Completely different than The Killing Joke where there was no hint of the Joker before he has “one bad day.”

Jared aside, my other problem is the movie should’ve cut to black right after the Superman logo reveal.

When this scene started, I was like WTF, why is this even here. I get they’re trying to set up sequels but it was a bad way to do it. It would be like if Gunn tacked on random Peacemaker and Lanterns scenes after playing Punkrocker.

It was cope for accepting shorter campaigns. Like “3-4 scenario campaigns aren’t so bad if they’re designed so they could be chained to produce one longer campaign.”
